If they fight at a frantic pace. Joshua probably threw as many punches in 7 then both Fury and Wlad did in 12! Remember Vitali vs Lewis and how tired both were? That's why the super heavy weights fight so slowly. Joshua is not 'suspect' cardio wise.
:nod Good point about Vitali and Lennox. They only fought six rounds, and they were both run-down long before it was over.
Tyson Fury doesn't because he isn't all muscle. he has a good compromise....and he hurt Muscle bound Wlad more than Wlad hurt him.
Didn't think Joshua looked that badly gassed actually. He took it easy in round 6 and came out again blasting in 7. He's in good condition. If he did a little less muscle work and came in slightly leaner I think he'd be even more dangerous. He has a good future, despite not being the most technically gifted. I'd say he's good enough to hold a title for a while, but is definitely beatable.
Fury doesn't exactly throw a lot of punches and spends his time moving along the rope tying his man up.
Most HW's get tired and noticed that many years ago when they probably weren't even quite as big as they are now. People on these forums are just quick to over simplify. Big muscles = you will gas and never be world class. Not a power puncher = feather fisted, haven't got the power to compete at worl level. Get hurt by a punch = glass jawed fraud. In good shape or have power = on PED's Struggle or lose a fight = exposed. Hasn't fought certain fighter = duck. Takes a knee = no heart/quitter. Doesn't take a knee when hurt = dumb, should have taken a knee. Etc
Exactly. The problem with the world in general is this over- simplifying, instant gratification attitude. **** the possible next president of the US is the king of this. Worrying!
Of course they do. Forgetting that is what caught up to Wlad twice, and that's all I'm saying for Joshua. That can and will bite him in the ass if he doesn't improve on it. He was fortunate today that Whyte was just as green in the conditioning department and not fit for 8 hard rounds, let alone 12. It's a fixable problem. But if he's in denial about it fixing it now, he'll pay later.
