    Marciano won cause he was the stronger fighter. Rocky had great stamina. The vast majority of fights are won by stamina.

    Except for the leading young contenders that he beat, like Rex Layne, Kid Mathews, and Roland Lastarza.

    It isn't his fault that the only other decent young guy in the era, Nino Valdez, kept losing to the oldsters.

    What other young guys should he have fought? Satterfield? Baker? Jackson? GTFOH. Marciano could have beaten all three on the same night.
