As I recall, Ali didn't try to do much at all until the sixth round. As soon as he flurried, he cut Cooper to the quick and the fight was over. Until then, he was just coasting, trying to let the show go awhile so the folks got their money's worth. No doubt he respected Cooper's boxing ability and power, but he knew he could end it any time he opened up, given "Enery's" tissue-paper eyebrows. Scoring-wise, it was a close fight up to the end, but in reality Cooper was never in the game.
