I have to quote my own post from one of the 30 day weigh in threads. Not that I would be so super awesome, but these kind of threads just show how totally clueless most of the posters here are.

He might still come in a bit over 152, but the weight will be no excuse if he losses, he didn't rush things and doesn't have to lose ridicolous amounts of weight in the last week, so he should be fine as he is still a young guy and his body should be able to rehydrate just fine.

People underestimate floyds strength. Floyd gets stronger as the fight goes on while his opponents get weaker and become sluggish.

he moves to 160 canelo gets damaged very quickly.

hes no better than the rest of the 154's and has no business at the higher weight.

looks as if canelo is trying to make 152.

he was 159.2 against trout at the seven day.

A lot of his fans will be crying "Weight problems ruined it!" if things don't go their way after the fight. :smoke

He's going to make it. Really doubt his team are a bunch of incompetent cheap bumpkins to fail the weigh-in in the biggest fight of his life and possibly the biggest event of the entire year.

    i disagree.

i think that canelo should go the way of mayweather/jmm and come in what he is comfortable at.

i know its only one pound difference for what he weighed in trout but if canelo is trying to make 152 and fails then he already goes into the fight with negativity. he really needs to be as stress-free as possible right now.

fighting the biggest fight of his life he should not even be thinking about 152.

he should be thinking about how he can keep the fight close and hope that the gbp-influenced judges can give him the decision.

According to him he's fine with the weight and will have no problem making it. The scales seem to suggest the same... Plus, according to Schaeffer, he stands to lose at least $2 million if he comes in at 154, but yeah, he certainly could come in over the limit and pay the penalty. It's not as if they'd cancel the fight if he did...

hes already perfomed at 153 so he knows what his body is capable of at that weight.

trying to cut the other pound, for one million dollars, does not look to be a very good risk to reward ratio against the most skilled boxer in the sport.

hopkins made the contract weight of 156 against oscar but he previously never showed any signs of gassing throughout his career.

Man, your opinions are irrelevant in what YOU think Canelo should be doing, you're surprised that team Canelo is actually making an effort in making the contractual weight, you doubt alot about Canelo but he seems to be doing everything YOU doubt.

Hate is in your blood all the "5'7 Canelito" **** seems to be gone, I'm still looking for you and the hating mob come Sept. 14th.

You don't think losing the extra 1.5/2 pounds is a legit concern?
