Adamek cuz he fights. he fought 5 times in 2 years were HAYE only fought 3 times in 3 years come on. and does a Unification make a fight better? NO who cares and money really? you know how much money will be made form tv deals in germeny poland ukraine?
Didnt think you would answer that properly......And do you seriously not think Haye V Wlad would not sell out Stamford Bridge etc
He only said he was done after negotiations ended. Why wasn't he offered a fight in September? Bull****. The majority of people who will buy the show, casual fans, don't have a clue about it. With us hardcore fans, the fight has had HUGE publicity, yes, but for casual fans? None. TV and radio appearances, half time at soccer matches, interviews on chat shows etc., are needed. For a fight of this magnitude, it needs mainstream exposure and it hasn't had it. The earliest date that fit in with Sky, RTL and a German stadium was July 2nd. However, if Wlad was willing to fight in Britain, the fight could have been made in May. Do you think Wlad should have accepted that fight? As for making more money, the British pound is stronger than the Euro. I don't think there would be more fans in Germany than in Britain and each individual ticket price is far more expensive here than Germany. I fail to see how it's possible the fight could make more money over there than here. Yes, they used to fight more often but they don't. Wlad doesn't either, so doesn't it strike you as slightly suspicious he would be willing to have such different preparations for the biggest fight of his life? Those demands are fine, yes. However, Haye did not need to accept 50/50 when he brings in far more than 50%, as I proved earlier in the thread, and he also didn't need to accept to fight in Germany, which isn't neutral, unlike America, and brings in far less money than Britain. Those are two huge concessions. No, it isn't. I proved it earlier in the thread. Based on...what? Ridiculous point, honestly. In fact, it's not even a point. Haye has never said that. This is Vitali's chance to call him out.
I'm sure it would sell out in the UK, but it would also sell 60,000+ in Germany. I'm not privy to the financial aspects of all of the locations, the tv rights, marketing, sponsorships, etc... money can be made in a variety of ways for each fight, and no one on this board has any of that information. It's all speculation, that's all I'm saying.
Hahaha what a pathetic response. Unification is the main selling point of the fight! Who seriously cares how ofter Haye fights. If you are now trying to say that people want to see Wlad V Adamek over Haye then you have just dug your own grave and proved how much of a nut hugger you really are...sad. oh and by the way Vinny Maldone, Michael Grant, Bobby Gunn, Andrew Golota and Arreola:rofl
Speculation or not, you cannot say this fight would not make money in England that is absoloutley ridiculous. Im not exact on the figures but Wlad 3million v Peter Haye 9million V Harrison
On par with Haye and in a much shorter time. He also has a stellar record at LHW and CW, his only loss coming to Chad Dawson who brought his A game that day.
Hayes win over Valuev over all of them....Anyway thats not the point Trying to say people want to see Adamek, or Adamek deserves it more is a joke. Haye brings Unification, Money, A Fight the world has been waiting for, And most of all Haye brings power and the chance to put Wlad Out. What does Adamek bring more than that?
Steen knows whats up. I forgot more ppl care about a belt then a fight that is more competitive then haye vs. wlad would ever be.
Perhaps they are tired of dealing with Haye...I would be. Who knows, we don't have all of the information from all of the talks, this is speculation on both sides. As much as it's in the news, I think more casual people have a clue about it than you think. I just don't think the length of promotion would matter much in an event this big, it would be the biggest heavyweight fight since Lewis - Tyson. Regarding the fight in Britain, as I said earlier, I don't know the details, I haven't read anything about this...so I really cannot comment either way. This is speculation. The ticket prices may be more expensive on average when you compare Britain to Germany, but who is to say they will not raise the prices for this fight? There are just too many variables here. No, it doesn't strike me as suspicious. I mean, if Wlad says I'm ready for July 2nd, let's fight...why should I be suspicious. Wlad has dealt with Haye long enough, and there's no reason for him to sit around almost 10-months between fights. Again, you say Haye would bring in more than 50%. That's speculation. Haye may be more popular in the UK, but this is a WORLDWIDE EVENT. Wlad is more popular in Germany, US, etc... Based on the fact that Haye already had a chance to fight Vitali, and ran to the easier fight with Valuev instead.
That's irrelevant. Haye had issues with July because it was so close to the Chisora bout. Why not offer him a later date? If Haye said "no", fine, but he wasn't even offered a more suitable date. Promoted in the eyes of who? Casual fans? Of course not. For this fight to be huge, like it should be, it would need promotion to the mainstream. For us fans who check news sites daily, yes, it's been hyped but for the fans ho make these fights huge events, it hasn't been hyped enough. Can you imagine Mayweather/Pacquiao happening without hype? It just wouldn't happen. There was no clash. The fight could have happened in May had Wlad been willing to fight in the UK. He wasn't despite an earlier promise he'd "fight Haye anywhere". Do you criticize him for this? It does, yes, but it depends on how you look at it. Haye could see it as proof that Wlad wasn't interested in the fight or was being unrealistic, which is certainly is. 2009 had very unusual occurrences which made Haye pull out. I can't blame him either, considering he'd be tied down to a three fight deal with potential not one pound coming in. But he had a fair and justified reason reason to pull out there! He didn't need to accept 50/50 and to fight in Germany. Had he not, he would have been justified yet he did anyway. If he was looking for a time to pull out, it was there. Yeah, I agree. Do you think Vitali will do that and, if not, will you criticize him?
