There is absolutely NO way this fight could be promoted in 8/9 weeks. The fighters have to train. There are talkshows to go on. Cross promotion with football matches. It cant be promoted (or signed I think) before the Chisora fight cause that fight has to be sold as if Chisora has a chance. Wouldn't do Chisora any good would it if they promoted Haye at the same time.
I agree with that. I think the entire Chisora fight could have been a build up to the Haye fight if the marketing in the UK was done right. And of course Haye could have been on all the shows, etc...
No body was interested when they were meant to fight in December. So I doubt any thing will have changed this time.
Some fair quesionts, but also a very one - sided picture. Wlad was in the ring for an agreed fight date when Haye didn't show up and Wlad had to pound Chagaev instead. Therefore, Wlad has CLEARY porven his willingness to fight Haye. Does he sometimes make difficult demands? Most likely. But the burden of proof to be willing to fight is much more with Haye since he pulled out of a fight with a contract signed, venue and date in place.
Im going to keep posting this until a Klit fan answers it....they have been choosing to ignore it for about 5 pages. Can some one please answer this one(will probably be ignored) When Wlad called Haye out and said he wanted Haye and was willing to fight him anywhere, Why did he then turn down U.K AND THE US? Look forward to an answer!
I never really saw the US as a potential location, even though it was discussed. It was surprising to hear that, as I just didn't see the money available here, as it is in Europe. Why was the UK turned down? None of us here were sitting in on the negotiations, so we can only speculate. There are many possible scenarios, here are four. 1. Wlad could have just demanded Germany (and really, as THE Champion, 3 belts, Ring Mag Champ, and 13 title defenses, I don't see anything wrong with that). 1b. The above could have been a "hard demand" that the Klitschko side wouldn't budge on, or they could have thrown it out there as a "soft demand", to see what the Haye side would say. Perhaps the Klitschko side would have been willing to go to the UK, but they didn't have to play that card, as the Haye side easily agreed to Germany? 2. Klitschko side could have shown figures to Haye side detailing how Germany would make more money, and Haye agreed. 3. UK could have been turned down due to logistics. 4. Haye could have wanted Germany all along (with an "I'm going to go in his backyard and beat him in front of all his fans" attitude). That might sound ridiculous to Haye fans. However, it looks like Wlad is going to Poland to fight Adamek, and other fighters have easily agreed to Germany, so this theory might not be as far fetched as it sounds to some. Again, none of us were in on the negotiations. I do find it funny how the Haye side lists all the demands that Haye gave into as if Haye was giving up so much, and doing everything he could to make the fight. Even though it's all speculation on their part, they state it as if it's a fact.
Finnaly an answer and i thought it would be you as unlike the rest of the idiots you seen more level headed But the fact of the Matter is that Wlad said he would do anything to get Haye into the ring and fight him anywhere...These are Facts. Wlad said he would not fight in the U.S.... Fact Wlad DEMANDED Germany(yes he has a right because he is champion, but why did he previously state he would fight Haye anywhere to get him in the ring.. Haye said it could be done in U.K in May-June... Wlad DEMANDED Germany)... Fact By demanding Germany Wlad has more or less said i will not fight you in the U.K. Wlad then sighns to fight Adamek in Polond....Yet would not fight Haye in England?:huh Why would the U.K be turned down due to logistics? Do you seriously belive Haye would rather fight in Germany....SERIOUSLY... after all the discraceful decisions over there
If Haye was going to duck Wlad like you say, What you have just said there makes no sense at all. Why would Haye agree to fight in Germany ''to beat him in front of all his fans'' as you just said, when he could have used this as a opportunity to duck, saying he only wanted to fight in England You have just self consciously admited that Haye never ducked
I understand that Wlad said he would fight anywhere. And, I believe he would have. However, just because Wlad said he would fight in the UK, that doesn't mean that in the negotiations he should immediately go to Haye and say "let's fight in the UK". There's a difference between the two that I think is very important, and should be noted. So, as I said earlier, perhaps the Klitschko side gave the Haye side their proposal for Germany as the location, the estimated earnings figures, etc... and the Haye side immediately agreed. Would Haye rather fight in Germany? I don't know, I can't get inside his head and read his thoughts, it's just a possibility. I do think that if it was shown by the Klitschko side that more money was to be made in Germany Haye could have agreed. I also think that if Haye wanted to beat Wlad "in his own backyard", he could have easily agreed. After all, back in 2009 the location was to be Germany. Again, none of us know the answers and can say for sure one way or the other, it's all speculation.
No, you see, fighters have a mind of their own, and their thoughts can change on a daily basis. I have no doubt that Haye can wake up one morning thinking "I know I'm going to beat this guy in front of his fans", and then the next morning suddenly he isn't so sure about that. This is true of many fighters, and across all sports, not just Haye and boxing.
Yes as you said it all speculation.. But the facts are Wlad said he would fight Haye anywhere ...... Then says he will not fight in the U.S A Date couldnt be made in April because of Sky, The U.K was possible in May, June...Wlad Demands Germany These are Facts....There is no defending that
Uh, no it's not. If you seriously believe all fighters (or athletes in other sports) believe they will win 100% of the time, and are confident in that 100% of the time, you are fooling yourself. I say this with first hand experience on both the player and coach side of things. Of course that is the outward appearance they put on, but in their mind...that's a different story.
