For fighting one of two "40" year olds shorter than him?

Krassyuk has confirmed this is incorrect. No offer made to either

If the money is right I'd assume Ortiz would jump at the chance. But you never know with Ortiz he's made some very weird and self destructive career choices during his pro career. Maybe he prices himself out, I hope not because nobody else is seriously calling him out apart from Joyce.

If Usyk's team offer him the fight he should take it no matter the money, a win would do wonders to rejuvenate his career as he's basically still rebuilding from the Wilder loss.

    Would be 56 then mate.
For each year that passes, add one to the age.

Usyk would maul Pov. Ortiz would be tighter but he would prevail. He is a scary prospect once he has a few fights in the division to wet his appetite. A true monster.

I think Povetkin is actually the tougher fight for Usyk not Ortiz. Povetkin is more proven, younger and from a style perspective more equipped to deal with Uysk's movement as his style is to pressure and close distance on opponents. If Briedis could pressure Usyk, Povetkin can do so as well, at least until his gas tank runs out.

Ortiz from a style perspective is an easier fight for Usyk. Ortiz doesn't cut to the ring off well, we saw that vs Scott and Kaufmann. Ortiz is a counter puncher not a pressure fighter like Povetkin. He'll struggle to find the opportunities to land his big counter as Usyk will be constantly moving and making him reset. Ortiz has a punchers chance but I can't see him doing enough to get to Usyk.

No Bro., It wasn't my best subject in high school but I think your math is off.

You see, Ortiz is listed at 39 years old, but as he was fighting an obnoxious, melanin-blessed American, he was reputed to be 55 one year ago. He is now fighting a well-regarded member of the Ukranian Olympic team so the formula is as follows:

    You take 55 and:

Voila. If Ortiz fights Usyk he will be 31 years 2 months 11 days 6 hours 14 minutes old.

Ortiz said he grew up watching Ali live, and he was also one of Lennox Lewis' sparring partners. People think he's older than he is, because he IS older than he is, not because he's "melanin-blessed"

I think Usyk could run circles around Ortiz who is slow and plodding. Povetkin is dangerous, at least for the first couple rounds.

I'd actually prefer Povetkin vs. Ortiz. Should be fun while it lasts.

Great news, both fights would be very good for him, but Povetkin fight would be a harder in my opinion. Can't wait for it to happen.

Well, my friend, Ali retired in 1981. That's 38 years ago. I would seriously doubt that a desperately poor Cuban boy had a TV in 1981, much less 1975 when Ali could still fight. As a matter of fact I am not sure he would have had electricity in the 1970's, and if he did have electricity, and a TV, it's pretty damn doubtful that he could have received, or would have been allowed by the communist government to receive the signal.

Now maybe he saw the fights in 1991 and they told him they were live...

I have never heard of Ortiz balking at fighting because of money issues. I think that his eye is on the big prize. He knows the money will come if he can fight his way into the top three slots. He answered Joyce's call out with a resounding yes and no response has come back. At least not in the news.
