Got one about 10 years ago, it had 4 straps. Found them Good, on mine the straps could be taken off, to any tension you wanted. But the straps did not last too long. It would be a good idea if you could get rubber to replace, from them. Bottom Line, Good piece of Gear, which I was given to Test, plus they have other Stuff I like, Recommend .:good
