Who wins this one? I see Vitali too slick, strong and iron chinned that he would take George out in the later rounds. Foreman gasses out after he can't take Vitali out.

vitali, on stepping up to elite level for the 3rd time, receives his 3rd stoppage loss out of his 3 step-ups.

foreman on facing a tough chinned but limited guy for the nth time, stops him for the nth time.

Vitali would outbox, out land, and out maneuver Foreman, likely stopping him inside of ten rounds.

It's Foreman early or the Klit later for mine. Klit could take a punch but i am still not convinced he'd get to the later rounds with Foreman pre Ali. I can see Foreman getting him out of there.

based on him doing this with which ATG punchers?

bear in mind I see foreman winning based on him crushing multiple tough chinned limited boxers.

Based on him out boxing every man he faced, and never being floored by a punch, and owning one of the best all time KO% in boxing.

Vitali beat plenty of punches. Peter, Sanders, Briggs, Hide, Johnson come to mind.

Foreman was floored and nearly KO'd by a somewhat chinny Ron Lyle, floored and defeated by Jimmy Young, and fought like a fool vs an older Ali.

In his comeback, he was lost a few times, to the likes of Tommy Morrison, Shannon Briggs, and IMO was lucky to beat Shultz.

Sure Foreman could bomb out the smaller and chinny fighters as well as anyone. That ain't Vitali.

so.... if we count foreman versus every non elite he faced, we get the same result. THEREFORE your argument fails.

You NEED to answer the question this time.

a 38 year old retiree, a 6 round gasser, a late 30something early wbo guy and hide, another non-entity wbo guy are not the answers to the question which atg puncher di viatli beat.

    try again

in his mid40s. What did Vitali do in his mid40s? FLOP mate again.

    Try haerder.

I agree that Vitali would outbox Foreman, but he's not stopping him.

Vitali never fought a puncher like Foreman. If a shot Lewis can stop Vitali like he did on a cut then Foreman would rip his face open with a jab.

    Hero,

Which puncher with a chin did Foreman ever beat in the 1970's.

Which class fighter did Foreman ever beat in shape at 250 pounds?

It seems like Foreman in the 1970's is the un-proven one here.

You do realize that Foreman at 215-225 is giving up a lot of height and weight here, correct?

To be factually accurate, Foreman's swelled worse than Vitali was cut more often in his fights.

    Answer my questions directly please.

Why not, Vitali hit harder than Ali and threw even more punches.

Foreman in the 1970's often tired later in the fight and had issues with his poise. He tired badly vs Ali.

We saw this again in the Lyle fight, which was a short match, and the Young fight. Young was very close to stopping Foreman. Foreman later collapsed in his dressing room, and Jimmy god bless him didn't hit 1/2 as hard as Vitali did.

While an early stoppage or sudden one punch stoppage is unlikely, and attrition KO, especially if Foreman tires as he did is not out of the question at all.

I listed three concrete examples, but you could argue for a possible 4th example on the conversation of Foreman's lack of steam in the later rounds

Foreman took Gregorio Peralta the distance in a ten round match. At the start of the 10th round, Foreman cornerman ( Could have been Sandy Sadler ) told him he had one more round to go. Foreman who learned the truth later was furious with his team. Possibly because he knew he had a limited amount of stamina to work with and was managing what he had left.

Foreman could cut the ring like no other in hwt boxing history. Once cornered I can't see Vitali doing anything but being knocked out. No one could take the punches prime Foreman could dish out unless your name was Ali. Vitali did not have the wheels to keep away from prime Foreman. The other point is the Foreman jab which was a great weapon. Vitalis head would be bouncing back and forth due to that jab all the while leaving even more openings for the ko blows any one of which could end the fight. The fight does not go five rounds and ends in brutal fashion. The other point is that the punchers Vitali fought do not rate with prime Foreman. George was a bone crushing puncher with excellent skills. George was an ATG. The punchers Vitali beat were contenders already forgotten in time.
