Which decades fighter s come out on top ? Ken Norton v Frank Bruno Ron Lyle v David Tua Joe Bugner V Tommy Morrison Earnie Shavers V Ray Mercer Jerry Quarry V Herbie Hide Jimmy Young V 91 Foreman
Norton late TKO Lyle PTS Morrison pts close Mercer stops him late Quarry late stoppage Foreman Pts All capable of being reversed mate, but these are the one's i'd make favourite
Norton timed Ali`s jabs by watching his shoulders before he threw, he noticed Ali twelegraphing the jab with his shoulders and Futch told him to jab with Ali as he noticed him about to jab, it worked great against Ali, so would work even better vs Bruno, most of Franks punches were jabs, Norton would outjab him. Tua vs Lyle is simply about who lands first, Lyle would catch David on the counter often, Tua was not defensively responsible after punching. Buger decisions Morrison. Mercer out-jab and knock Shavers out in a war. Quarry KO Hide Young would land more punches on `91 Foreman than he did while beating the younger Foreman.
Alright pal ?Only just seen reply s ,good answers AV. I've got Norton stopping Bruno late or Frank getting him out extremely early . Lyle by decision but he may be downed once or twice. Bugner out points Tommy ,Morrison frustrated at every round he can't hurt Joe . Mercer kos Shaver's late in the fight but has the iron chin tested. Quarry ko 8 Hide . Foreman by a close decision win He's not trying to rip Young's Head off every second ,and using his patience to get in close to Jimmy .But Young still tricky as hell so a split audience in who won .
Good point about Norton with the jab.If Kenny survive s Bruno s bombs in the first few rounds and settles in to a jabbing contest then He's the winner .
Nearly agreed on all Ferg. I think you may be right with Morrisson if I think about it, Bugner went the distance with greats of different styles, elite styles, whether negative or not he stayed the course, and on his day if the mood suited him could push back the challenge of Morrison, That left hook if it catches him though was meaty
Bugner took Frazier`s hooks and pressure so a clumsy fighter like Tommy would have a lot of trouble knocking out Bugner.
