Winwood jabbing into the guard and pinning Niyomtrong's gloves to his face, preventing him from opening up, and then Winwood is landing multiples on the body while keeping Niyomtrong on a rotisserie. Niyomtrong scores a good right hand but then whiffs a big follow-up left hook.

Niyomtrong is fighting like he still believes in his long-discredited nickname. Marching down the challenger, keeping his fists sheathed, just flicking out the occasional jab and looking to land power shots. Winwood dancing around him, scoring with left hookercuts on the body and straight combos up top.

Commentators are perhaps swinging too far in the opposite direction in their attempts to not sound like homers - gassing up the foreigner by saying how dangerous he is as he wings looping shots that make at most incidental contact with Niyomtrong's forearms clanging against Winwood's.

Niyomtrong is starting to wind up and rip a charging left hook into the side of Winwood's head, and it scores for him a few times. Winwood now flurrying and sprawling with a low base, trying to avoid the ropes as Niyomtrong tracks him down with lead right hands - most missing but some skimming him. Winwood ties up as Niyomtrong comes forward. Winwood smacks Niyomtrong with a hook and ties up again. Big exchange, Niyomtrong lands a hook and Winwood goes down but it's ruled a slip.

Winwood was down twice in the fourth - the first was legitimately a slip, but the second in the final moments absolutely should have been called a knockdown. Plain as day on replay.

 

Round 5

Niyomtrong is hunting Winwood and tossing long hooks into the chest. They're bothering Winwood but he's able to keep up evasive maneuvers with constant lateral direction changes. Winwood dusting Niyomtrong with jabs in bunches while moving. Giant double left hook charging in by Niyomtrong, bashing into the wrists of Winwood but not quite able to knock them loose. Winwood boxing very well, controlling range.
