Winwood down; clear push by Niyomtrong in a clinch in the opening moments. Winwood is leading Niyomtrong around the ring, landing pot shots. Niyomtrong barrels in and tackles Winwood onto the ground. Nice job shooting the half, but this is boxing not wrestling. They exchange left hooks turning each other in the pocket in ring center. Both getting in good shots, but it's Winwood able to sustain it as he ducks and weaves around Niyomtrong, touching him with rights on the body. Winwood caught by a grazing right from Niyomtrong. Winwood feints an uppercut and instead taps Niyomtrong on the side with a left hook. Right hand by Winwood to seal the round.

Niyomtrong is waiting to uncork a bomb as Winwood slinks around him throwing pot shot flurries. Niyomtrong does just that, catching Winwood, flooring him with a series of alternating left and right hooks! Winwood's legs splattered into liquid, and he barely rises to beat the count. Winwood clinching as Niyomtrong drills him with right hand leads repeatedly. Winwood bouncing off the ropes, slipping on the canvas, all over the place. Damn close to being stopped, ref having a hard peer.

10-8 Niyomtrong - could easily justify going 10-7.

Niyomtrong stalking, power-jabbing the body. Winwood jabbing lightly up top, one and done, keeping on his toes and moving about very carefully now. Massive drop in output from Winwood, not wanting any part of Niyomtrong on the inside and taking no chances. Winwood paintbrushes Niyomtrong with a left hook on the outside. Niyomtrong approaches with his gloves down, then explodes with a three-piece but misses as Winwood dashes off to his side along the ropes. Winwood scoring a jab, and running.

Winwood staying on his toes, attempting to keep up his movement to stay just ahead of Niyomtrong but legs growing uncooperative. Both landing jabs at mid-range, Niyomtrong's heavier. Niyomtrong catches him ducking and strafing with a 1-2 and big left hook! Winwood totters over sideways and keels. He's up and keeping his distance, switching back and forth to southpaw, not engaging
