Can Manny Pacquiao do something that NO boxer has ever done before and win a 7th world title in his 7th weight division? That would be historic! any comments, ideas?

    Well it is 5.

Cause the ring title doesn't count.

But all know it's really 6.

I dont put much into the ring title anyway. Im being genrous with the belt he got from ricky. Ricky wasnt really undisputed top dog at 140 anymore at that time.

    I didn't realize Hatton didn't hold a major title.

Titles in 6 different weight divisions and 4 of them were lineal titles. Pacquaio the only boxer to get 4 lineal titles so far...

RING/IBO light welterweight title (LINEAL TITLE)
    WBC lightweight title
RING/WBC super featherweight title (LINEAL TITLE)
    RING featherweight title (LINEAL TITLE)
    IBF super bantamweight title
    WBC flyweight title (LINEAL TITLE)

Hatton was only ring champ wasnt he? Wasnt the Malignaggi fight a non-title fight?

There was no WBC title against Barrera

and the IBO is not a major title, as much as I like them.

Nah it was for Hattons IBO title. I think Paulie had to vacate the IBF.

Who said there's WBC against Barrera??

PAC got the RING (lineal) titles from Barrera and Hatton... PAC then considered the man at 126 and at 140... Being considered the man in a division is more important than having one of those XYZ belts...
