THE NBA and NFL have the best athletes in the world according to running, jumping, and overall strength. Nevertheless, boxing at the top level and even the B level is very profitable. I'm just giving some guys in the past 15 years who pocketed 8 figures(or very close) since 2000. It is quite an extensive list.

GGG, Floyd, Manny, Wlad, Cotto, Vitali, Danny Garcia, Berto, Bradley, Khan, Jones Jr., Trinidad, Marquez, Haye, Povetkin, Holyfield, Tyson, Lewis, Hopkins, Canelo, De La Hoya, Hamed, Barrera, Morales, Calzaghe, Froch, Jermain Taylor, Winky Wright, Pavlik.

30 guys off the top of my head and most aren't anywhere near close to being athletic enough to being in the NFL or NBA. Most on that list aren't even 6 foot tall. Nevertheless, their work got them more money than many NFL players will ever see. Most NFL players do not make 7 figures a year. Even mid level guys like Porter, Groves, and Broner in terms of skills have pocketed seven figure checks. Shouldn't that be enough encouragement to get more people going into the fight game.

'Can I call a timeout because my team is getting hammered and need a rethink??'

'Sorry sweetheart this isn't an American sport, you don't get time outs when youre playing the All Blacks.!!'

I think the minimum wage in NBA is around $800k/yr. There are over 400 players in the NBA. I'm not mentioning guys who play overseas. There are a lot of US players who make 7 figures a year playing in Europe. You can't find 400 boxers who average that kind of money annually. In fact you probably can't find 100 either. Also note that boxers need to pay a lot of money to their staff which is not the case with NBA/NFL players.

Nfl best athletes? Who the fat linemen? Soccer players run miles in a game as do rugby players even cricket which requires very very high concentration from batsmen needs a high fitness level.
Top boxers earn good money but it takes years and only very few make it.
In nfl, nba, mlb, soccer you can be a decent player and still earn very good money but in boxing being just decent wont get u to far or much money. Boxing is very results and record dependent other sports especially team sports that does not matter. Being a good athlete does not mean u can fight. Most top boxers have come from rough backgrounds where they would streetfight from a young age and where violence is the norm.

Are you sure that Danny Garcia, Berto, Jermain Taylor, Winky Wright, and Pavlik all made 10+ million dollars? I think they might have only made half that.

It's different at heavyweight. Heavyweights have always made twenty times what a flyweight does. Besides, most of those guys listed aren't heavyweights. Back in the 90s Ricardo Lopez or Mark Johnson were top 10 guys but they didn't make million dollar purses. Right now Roman Gonzalez is making like 200k. I would be shocked if Dereck Chisora hasn't made more in the fight game than Gonzalez.

American football is much better because of time to think. Because of it we get a great blend of physicality and strategy.

no game that is stop start stop start is better.

The closest I would get to that would be tennis and even then a rally is way longer than any play in the NFL.

From what I've seen, and I'm no fan of any sport except boxing, but football players are just bigger, stronger, faster, and generally more athletic than Rugby players. Basketball players would also walk all over Rugby guys too.

How many NFL and NBA players play for a full 80 minutes with just one break.

Add to this there is no padding, no time outs and no steroids :D
