If this 8 Man Cruiserweight tournament took place- how do you think it would unfold (i've took the top 8 guys on boxrec for their seedings):

#1 Yoan Pablo Hernandez vs #8 Mateusz Masternak
#4 Marco Huck vs #5 Krzysztof Wlodarczyk
#2 Denis Lebdev vs #7 Ola Afolabi
#3 Antiono Tarver vs #6 Lateef Kayode

Here's how I see it going-

    Quaters-
    Hernandez UD over Masternak
Not seen all that much of Masternak and his opposition has been pretty weak so it's hard to say how he'd do but I'm gonna take Hernandez who was impressive against Cunningham

    Huck UD Wlodarczyk
The Pole is on borrowed time I bit I think, he was losing to Danny Green before he rallied and got a KO so I think Huck by pretty wide UD

    Lededev w12 Afolabi
I'm going for Lebedev in a close one.

    Kayode w12 Tarver
The fact that Tarver didn't beat Kayode last time when he had that **** in him indicates that Kayode would take this. Plus Tarver ain't getting any younger.

    Semi's

    Hernandez UD Huck
If the judges are upto their usual tricks I reckon Hernandez would narrowly outpoint Huck.

    Lebedev KO Kayode
Lebedev's a big puncher and Kayode style makes him a knock out waiting to happen.

    Final
    Lebedev TKO Hernandez
I got Lebedev in this one. TKO.

Agreed. I think his country man Rakhim Chakhkiev would give him a fight.

On a serious note. I don't know if Lebedev can stop Hernandez.. I would favour Lebedev against all cruisers except Hernandez, it would be an uphill battle but i think that Lebedev could win..

    3 dodgy decisions

Hernandez fights out of Germany though too and he seemed to get a much wider points victory over Cunningham than he actually deserved and the first fight was disputed.

    Not one of the options.

Have seen a lot of him compared to the other so I don't say with a great deal of conviction how he'd do.

YPH KO Masternek, MM doesnt look quite ready yet
Huck KO Wlod, Wlod is past his best
Lebedev PTS Ola, very tought fight to call
    Kayode PTS Tarver

YPH PTS Huck, very close fight
Lebedev KO Kayode, wouldnt last long

YPH PTS Lebedev, Hernandez wins a chess match type fight

Chakkiev would be a better bet than Tarver or Kayode

He has been stopped in 2008 by Wayne Braithwaite and Lebedev has above average power, thats why I wait for a TKO

YPH has a glass chin. In the scenario above YPH wouldn't get past Huck.

I wish the cruiserweight division got more attention. These guys often put up good, competitive fights.

I haven't seen enough of some of these fighters to make an accurate prediction.
