    not entirely true, if you try to hit hard with bigger gloves it takes more effort and increases the chance of your hand getting injured, with 8oz you don't need to hit as hard to generate the same force - if you have bad hands and you want to hurt someone it is certainly a better idea to have 8oz rather than 10oz

    I'm all for 8oz gloves....I hope Cotto accepts and the commission makes it happen!

    The lower weight glove would add another element of excitement to the fight, at least for myself.
