81 Cooney vs 92 Bowe

Bowe would have proved to good an inside fighter for Cooney. For a big man, Bowe displayed exceptional inside fighting skills. He made good use of the uppercuts many times.

 

Bowe would knock him out. He had a decent enough chin, a nice jab, and a ferocious uppercut on the inside that would knock Cooney spark out.

 

I think Riddick has to be favored here and for more reasons than I care to go into. Its not out of the question that Cooney could trouble him for a brief period though. He certainly had a good enough strait jab along with a stiff punch to go with it. These kinds of things gave Bowe trouble, but I doubt Cooney had the staying power to keep it up for very long.

 

Bowe, though Cooney would shake him momentarilty, by kayo in two.

i USUALLY PICK COONEY IN FANTASY MATCHUPS , AND I THINK HE IS VERY UNDERRATED.

However Cooney IS OUT GUNNED HERE . Cooney JUMPS ON bOWE EARLY AND GIVES HIM A SCARE, bOWE HAS GREAT RECUperative POWER. hE STARTS BAC kING UP cOONEY BY TH 4TH ROUND WITH THE jAB, AND cooney gets gun shy every once in a while letting loose just enought to keep bowe hones.

Finally Bowe goes to town and finishes Coooney off Bowe ko 8

 

Bowe would definitely land that right uppercut against Cooney, but considering Evander's left hook brought down Bowe, you would think that Cooney might be able to floor Bowe =/
But, besides a punchers' chance, Bowe takes this one comfortably in my opinion :good

I have a feeling that Cooney could make things pretty interesting early on. He was no defensive wizard. Bowe KO 7 but this fight has the potential to be interesting.

Cooney might wobble Bowe early but then he'll get out-classed in the middle rounds en route to 8th round TKO loss
