You guys have to remember that there is the ground game to consider aswell.
Round 2 had to be 10-8. Griffin sat on him and pounded rampage the whole round. Forrest was much busier and forced the fight. Also Forrest had a triangle locked in which would definately factor in the scorecards in whatever round he did it in (3rd or 4th).

Okay Jackson won 1 round, 2 at the most and possibly dropped a round 10-8.

Is it just me, or aside from the main event, was this the most boring UFC you have seen in a while?

A few of the fights were pretty solid, but it was a lackluster card for the most part. I didn't like the matchmaking going into the fights, so I had a feeling it would be potentially a bit stale.

Cote/ Almeida was dull. I wish Cote would have opened up a little more though, Almeida takedowns are absolutely horrible.

Though I guess its a little harder when the guys happy to pull guard at every opportunity.

Yeah that fight was a real letdown. Where was Cote's amazing striking. And Almeida looked like he was gassed after the first round. It seems the only way he can get guys down is to jump into guard.

I gave the PPV a 6 out of 10. OK fights but sure as hell not PPV worthy.

A 6 is probably about right. Not even close to being worth $45. Hmm, feed myself for a week or watch that boring-ass Cote fight...

So which fights do I want to hunt down? Skimming the thread, it sounds like not Cote-Almeida.

I am intrigued by the broad range of opinion regarding Rampage-Griffin. Was it mostly stand-up?

Pretty boring fights overall, but come on folks, that Rampage/Griffin fight was NOT a bad decision. It was a close fight that Griffin won fair and square with a damned good strategy of leg kicks and movement. Rampage's only offense came on one punch at a time counters that never amounted to much. Why? Because Griffin fought smart. Styles make fights and all that, and I'd expect to see something pretty similar in a rematch. Rampage won't want to be on the ground with Griffin ever again, and his only hope at a different fight is to not get his legs kicked to **** and be more aggressive and put some punches together for a KO.

Also, stop blaming Cote for that fight being boring. Almeida is a one trick pony who took his ball and went home as soon as he found out he was too tired/bad to take Cote down.
