Any takers? I think Frazier survives a very possibly early TKO ref stoppage and wills himself to a knockout in the late rounds.

    I don't know about '69 Frazier,but '71 FOTC Frazier whips Tyson..any version of him.

If the referee doesn't register a stoppage for Tyson in the early rounds, then Frazier takes this about the ninth round.

I have a hard time seeing Frazier surviving a war with Tyson.

I'm not sure he whips him but FOTC Frazier loses to very few heavyweights IMO and would beat him in a tough war. I see Tyson struggling to connect properly with Frazier's frequent head movements. Foreman would take out FOTC Frazier but I dint think you can be sure about any other heavyweight too

I suspect that this is a very bad stylistic matchup for Frazier. Tyson is not just a good puncher, but he's a killer puncher, a fast starter, and a wonderful finisher. Frazier would be right there to be hit, he was known as a slow starter, and would duck right into Tyson's uppercuts. Frazier was not much of a clincher or a smotherer or a really big man either. I just see Tyson starching him quick. I agree that if Mike can't get him out that Joe's chances increase with every round, because Frazier kept a much better pace than Tyson and had much better conditioning. Trouble is I don't actually see Frazier surviving long enough to take Tyson into deep waters to drown him.

I've always thought that Frazier would beat Tyson

Tyson was faster & hit harder but Joe was able to absorb an enormous amount of punishment & keep coming

On the inside Mike wasnt that effective & once Frazier gets through the opening barrage then I can see him wearing down & probably stopping Tyson in an epic fight.

Tyson's got a big chance of getting the early win but i don't see him putting Frazier away and stopping Joe bringing it to him.

I see a stoppage for Joe similar to Holyfield around the 11th.

I agree with this. Frazier was a great great fighter but I dont like the style matchup here. Tyson had faster hands and was more explosive. I see Frazier bobbing into those vicious uppercuts by Tyson.

If Joe did get to the middle rounds and he wanst too damaged then I could see him start to impose his will on Mike Tyson.

My $$ would be on Tyson though.

I've always considered this something of a myth to be honest. I see Tyson beating Frazier. Like the above posters said, Frazier was a slow starter and he's not gonna be hard to find.

Tyson early. he really has to or Frazier will heat up and he will fade. But I say Tyson gets him out of there.

Tyson's hooks, uppercuts, and combination attacks would be to much. He wouldn't even have to jab but if he decided to do that...it would just add to the control.

He'll hurt Frazier and once he does that, he'll stay hurt until the ref stops it or it will be a complete KO.
