I'm looking forward to the Duddy-Eastman fight, I think a motivated Eastman (yes, I know its a big ask!!) can pull it off.

Live Sky coverage on the 8th begins with the Moore fight in Wigan and then switches to Las Vegas for Hatton.

Don't know how much of the undercards will be shown but this is some of what could feature -

    Las Vegas undercard includes:

Daniel Ponce de Leon v Eduardo Escobedo
    WBO Super Bantamweight Title

Jeff Lacy v Peter Manfredo Jr
    Super Middleweight bout

    Wigan undercard includes:

    Ali Nuumbembe v Craig Watson
    Commonwealth Welterweight Title

    Jamie McDonnel v Chris Edwards
    Vacant British Super Flyweight Title

    Danny Reynolds v Jason Rushton
Vacant Central Area Light Middleweight Title

Setanta will probably do the UK version for the Duddy v Eastman card , Sky will be the only hope for the Elcock v Abraham fight .

Of all those, its Moore v Baysangurov I'm undecided about.

I'm a big fan of Moore but have some reservations about this fight and don't know much about his opponent - any info would be appreciated.

Which 2 ? Hope you're not suggesting John Duddy against Howard Eastman (who sky refuse to show anyway) is a bigger fight than Moore for the euro title!!
Abraham Elcock is interesting for one fight, the Wigan bill has lots of English / British fighters.
Maloney & VIP have a contract with Sky, so its natural for them to work together.
All Jamies fights have been on sky, the general boxing audience know him.

I've got mixed feelings about the Moore fight being on the same night as Hatton.

They are two boxers I've supported for a long time and are both in really tough fights.

Its not inconceivable that they will both lose - I hope thats not the case or it will be heartbreak as well as sleep deprivation for me come the 8th!

i wouldn't have minded seeing abraham - elcock, but lets be honest, moore for the euro title is a much bigger fight then duddy-eastman unless you're irish

    Elle ,

You have good sources but the Jason Rushton v Danny Reynolds contest will not be happening on the Wigan show - it is still a blockbuster event though and worth a visit.

Jamie and Ricky will not start as favourites on this night but you cannot right either of them off. The timing is right for these opportunities and I for one think that they both might pull it off.

    Cheers,

    STEVE WOOD
