You really are a ******, I mean a really woeful ****** not just a standard ******, you are exposing yourself further and further with every post, and you really should end this thread before you become a laughing stock.

First off I'll address your points on Cotto...

    SHANE MOSLEY
    ZAB JUDAH
    CARLOS QUINTANA
    PAULIE MALIGNAGGI
    RICARDO TORRES
    DEMARCUS CORLEY
    LOVEMORE N'DOU
    CARLOS MAUSSA
    GIANLUCA BRANCO
    OKTAY URKAL

For a relatively young fighter, his resume was excellent pre-Margarito. Gomez was a tune-up to prepare for Margarito after 2 tough fights against Mosley and Judah. You're talking dog**** there.

Your point on Hopkins absolutely boggles the mind!!!!!

They took B-Hop because they thought he was old and shot.

So you're telling us that the TV execs at HBO knew that the POUND-FOR-POUND NUMBER ONE FIGHTER IN THE WORLD was "shot" and that's why they made the fight with Taylor???? They knew that a man who hadn't lost since 1993 was shot? A man who would beat Antonio Tarver to win the lhw title then become the 1st man in 8 years to beat Winky Wright in his next 2 fights, was shot??

This is my last post on this thread, I have tried desperately to educate you but I failed.

Your credibility is the only thing shot on here. Laughable!!! :hi:

Again, this is why I'm written up in the New York Times, and you're not.

Here's one example of what I'm talking about, the common perception about Cotto. This was around when the Mosley fight was being made:

    http://blog.nj.com/ledgerboxing/2007/08/a_few_weeks_ago_when.html

the knock on Cotto has been his dearth of quality opponents. Even his impressive win over Zab Judah in June was met with some skepticism, being that Judah had been inactive for more than a year due to suspension -- the one-round no-contest against Ruben Galvan two months earlier doesn't count.

Sorry, I have to run to make a call with a PR firm, same one I called the other day. I'll deal with the rest of your inanity later. You're outgunned, and a joke. Learn more about boxing, then come back and try again. It's not even fun to rout you like this. It's sad.

Thanks, TFFP. Glad you're enjoying it.

    Ok, off the call.

Actually, it was for my video work, not any boxing stuff. To tell you the truth, it wasn't that flattering. But, I did get written up.

That is one thing I am thankful to Kelly Pavlik for. The Taylor loons were insufferable until he was brought back down to earth.

Of course many of them are on the Pavlik bandwagon now and are equally delusional, but its preferable to a guy that got joke decisions.

i sent this guy a PM a few hours ago offering to teach him some hands on boxing if he happened to live in my neighbourhood, because the crap and cheap shots that this guy writes (and would never say to your face, trust me) personifies an online persona and someone who isn't feeling too good about who they are in real life.

it would teach him some humility (not in the bullying sense) and respect that he thinks somehow lends itself to his persona by waving that option to everyone else.

he's going out of his way to appear 'confident' and silver-tongued, but confidence is something you carry - not try and sell over the net.

hopefully he'll read this as a reminder of the offer i sent to him in the PM and decide to answer it intelligently and with maturity even if he's not in my neighbourhood.

Ha ha ha. Thanks. Have to be honest, you know. I've been portrayed better at other times, that's for sure. I'll tell you the story sometime of what was behind that article.

Here's some elaboration of what I was saying about Hopkins, and why HBO and Taylor made those fights. This is the kind of general thinking that was going on at the time:

    1.

    http://www.thesweetscience.com/boxing-article/2370/hopkins-taylor-fight-predictions/

    This content is protected
. I predict Hopkins will get knocked out in the fifth or sixth round.
    This content is protected
    . Forget about De La Hoya, Robert Allen, William Joppy, that dude Hakkar and Eastman. With the exception of Eastman, these were all shot fighters when they faced Hopkins;

. The body shot that knocked out De La Hoya was emphatic but my reaction to that was: so what? He beat a fighter he should have tormented.
    This content is protected
, and who I think is treating this fight like it's the Super Bowl.

    2.

    http://www.thesweetscience.com/boxing-article/1706/bernard-hopkins-jermain-taylor-lou-dibella/

. If he lost a close fight against Taylor after a 10-year reign as middleweight champ and after having made 20 consecutive title defenses, it won't effect his historical standing a bit.

A key aspect of matchmaking is catching your opposition at the right time. In order to build your fighter's profile and confidence up, you want to match him against big names. However, you also try to avoid danger for your fighter (especially if you're concerned he's not that good). A great way of building your guy up is by having him fight someone with a 'name' that has lost a step or two, or who seems about to lose that step. This is why Cotto fought Mosley when he did, or why Mayweather fought ODLH when he did.

Well, if you can fight an almost-41 year old guy with a name, that's not a bad way to go. Even if the guy is Hopkins.

There's more to say on this subject, but I'm out for now.

I have never read posts by someone so horribly desperate to be thought of as intelligent, so boastful, so insecure. "'I'm always right, I've been published" etc. If only this dire specimen knew who he was speaking to on these forums, there are many journalists, scholars, professionals - who let their writing speak for themselves and have no need for this tacky self-promotion and self-aggrandizement.

Do you what's a better way to get the respect and praise you crave so badly?? Stop writing a load of old tampax like you have been, read a bit more about boxing, watch a bit more, learn a bit more, think a bit more - and then let your posts speak for themselves without all this bravado. The harsh truth is, no matter who has published you or whatever, your writing and posts on this thread have been absolutely awful.

Does this sound like a mature, confident, knowledgable and articulate writer?

Stop crying. You little internet cowboys want me to just let you talk your stupid sh*t, and I won't. Wah wah wah.

The problem for so many of you is not only will I defend myself, but I can do so most ably and clown the hell out of any of you while doing so. You don't like that. You want to be able to talk your stupid sh*t and have me just take it.

Uh uh. Not happening. You guys want to run your bullsh*t, better try it with someone else, and not me. I can think and write circles around any and all of you, as you all know.

You want me to leave you alone, leave me alone. Or else, get the horns when you mess with the bull. Doesn't matter to me what you choose, but that's the way it is, and will continue to be. I don't suffer fools. Never have, never will.
