This is my favourite fight of all time. Amazing. The hype/buildup was absolutely insane.

    Billed as "UNDEFEATED"

    38-0 (#1 p4p 5 weight world champion) vs 43-0 (Top 10 P4P 2 weight world champion)

One of the sickest fights I've ever seen, lots of tactics being used, lots of greatness, lots of goods.

ROFLMAO I figured this from MVC . This was one & there have been plenty, the most bias & suspect refereeing displays by Joe Cortez I have ever seen. What chance Hatton had was immediately taken from him by Cortez he would not let him fight. It was blatant
Hatton complained Mayweather was ducking below his beltline & coming up with his head. All Cortez said was " Well don't hit him while he's down there Ricky or I'll take a point" Unbelievable
Mayweather ducked under the ropesout of the ring to avoid a shot from Hatton The punch hit the top rope Cortez took a point from Hatton for a blow to the back of Mayweathers head ROFL
That was what made that debacle stand out not Mayweathers performance

Couldnt agree more about the build up & hype surrounding it.

Im from the UK and one local station tried to claim that Mayweather was scared of Hatton (apparently May had a slight hand injury in the run up to the fight?) and he was maybe going to use this as an excuse to avoid the fight...

I bought this fight and had a load of people round, all thought Ricky was going to win.

Take nothing away from Hatton he was a great fighter, but this was just a step beyond.

I have this fight on DVD, think I will give it another watch later!

Yes it was! Not tooting my own horn but, the Monday after the Hatton/Tszyu fight I visited this site for the first time and I remember having a conversation with a guy by the name Stevie C. I told him I thought FM would win. He asked me how FM was going to keep Hatton from bull rushing him an I told him the check hook. Years later I was proven correct.

I asked the Mrs to put £100 on a Floyd stoppage in the 10th for me but she never did.

Always thought that Floyd is physically stronger and hits harder than a lot of people give him credit for.

Horribly biased refereeing by Cortez though.

    Great fight.

One of Floyd's most entertaining and best victories... Hatton did well but he was beaten at his own game.
