well , Chiken De La Hoya dissapoints everyone in the so called fight of the millenium , how you gonna go to the most important fight of your life and run for the last 4 rounds without even throwing and expect to come out a winner?, by the way those that give Oscar the first 8 rounds are just biased , its like Tito wasnt pressing the action and try to give Oscar rounds for a 10 seconds at the end of rounds rally that from 6 punches throwed not even one connected clearly.

this fight was the blueprint for how to beat both fighters

Most boxing fans are the same, they let their own opinions, attitudes, and preferences cloud their judgement and therefore cannot be relied upon for objectivity in any situation.

Many times I have read people on here saying "It's Oscar's fault he lost that fight, he ran for the last 3 rounds". Now, whereas I agree that if he hadn't ran, he would've won, the fact is that he could've tap-danced for those last 3 rounds, and should still have won. Boxing is scored round-by-round. IMO, Oscar has won 8 and lost 1 of the 1st 9 rounds. No matter what he did in those last 3, by virtue of the way boxing is scored, he was the legitimate winner of the fight (barring him being KD'd a few times in those final 3).

You may despise his tactics in those last 3 and think he thoroughly deserved what he got, but we have to adhere to the rules if we are speaking about the results of fights. If Oscar had literally sprinted around the ring with his tongue hanging out for 9 minutes, by the rules of the game he should have won the fight - if the judges were competent, that would have happened.

 

What? Up for grabs? What fight were you watching? Oscar schooled him the first 9 rounds. Did Tito even land a ****ing punch in those rounds?
