I was in the M:E.N arena and saw my all time favorite fighter Tszyu for the first time. I travelled from Scandinavia and paid 300 GBP.
No doubt Tszyu underrated Hatton and was not at his best.

One of the most disgracefully officiated fights I have ever seen.

Tszyu had some bad habits. He did not eat the day of a fight. After the Philips loss he changed that. If you really want to see how talented Tszyu was you should see his fight vs Vernon Forrest in the amateurs on Youtube. Little Tszyu outboxing the taller man.

:goodAgreed. I've seen Dave Parriss ref 3 fights: Tyszu-Hatton, Rogan-***ton 1 and Barrera-Khan and have NEVER seen a more incompetent and biased referee ever in my life. He is a disgrace to boxing and makes Joe Cortez look like Kenny Bayless. Hatton fans love to give out about Cortez in the Mayweather bout but are incapable of admitting what a horrible job Parriss did in Tsyzu-Hatton. And recently Hatton said he would have loved to have fought Pac when Rick was prime. Well, I would have loved to have seen the difference in a Tsyzu-Hatton bout had Kostya been prime instead of the 35 year old that had just recovered from surgery and had barely fought in the 2 years preceeding the fight, but most importantly, with an unbiased and competent referee.

He didn't seem to box with that style in the Pros though, at least in the fights I have seen.

Looked to have a more fluid and slick style in the amateurs.

Nonsense, Tszyu was not overrated. At 35 he lost to Hatton in his last fight. It was time for him to get out. He was 259-11 as an amateur. Vince Phillips could bang. Tszyu got caught.

Most fighters rack up their KO numbers when they are climbing the ladder, not when they are on top. Look at how many guys he KO'd AFTER he had made it and was fighting top fighters. You've got it wrong on Tszyu.

You can only fight for so long and after Tszyu had fought 304 bouts (not rounds!) it was time. The guy was a stud.

Tzyu vs. hatton was fixed by way of referee. Tzyu knocked hatton down legitimately with a body shot if I recall and it was rules a slip. In addition, hatton was allowed to wrestle the whole fight. He should have been DQ'd. Hatton was extremely overrated. He lost to collazo but got a gift decision. With a neutral ref a 35 Tzyu beats hatton no problem.

Kostya was never overated, but he was way over the hill when they fought. Hatton was way overated! He got kayoed by pac in 2 rounds & was out cold on his face. He was knocked out by a very defensive minded Mayweather. He was completely outclassed in both fights. He was a weak champion. Sort of like "Swifty Garcia":!:

Kostya came in for a last retirement payment before he packed it in.This "fight" was a joke.
