You have to be from England to think that disgrace of an entire event was a "great fight" because anyone reasonable, sober or with any common sense whatsoever will easily disagree.

It was beyond comical how Hatton was freely allowed to elbow, headbutt, shove, rabbit punch, combinations to the back of the head, hold, low blow and ask the referee to break his own grappling at will all night without being warned a single time. I've even shown that fight to complete randoms that don't even like Boxing much and they laughed out loud halfway through the fight at how disgraceful that fight was. Even with all those advantages that Hatton was given, the fight was still close.

With that said, any keyboard gladiator who dares say that someone like Tszyu "quits" needs to be hanged in a public bathroom and whipped with toilet slippers.

That fight solidified the belief that in England, you don't just fight the fighter, you also fight the ref.

For a good while after that fight I used to think all british officials/judges/refs are corrupted pieces of ****.

To be honest, I still think that way.

Hometown decisions and corrupt refs are everywhere. But that was one of the worst.

Give Hatton his dues. He went out and fought his heart out - great victory.

Back to the OP. Anyone who likes boxing has to appreciate KZ, the man was immensely skilled.

It's the ams but what a display of boxing -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5HbhMCga5U

Amazes me how people can throw out the overrated tag on fighters based on one or two fights especially when one fight was the last fight of his career. Was KT the best ever? No. But he was the man to beat and was avoided by many fighters at 140.

Just like rigonduex gets credit now for his amateur career, KT was considered to have one of the best amateur careers and got the credit then too. For example, he schooled a bigger Forest that beat Mosley in the amateurs and then later in the pros.

Tszyu was a professional... Yet he had to weigh in two times for the hatton fight. this clearly shows his training wasnt as it should or his body gave up on him. He knew he was done and he woulda retired if he won it.

In his prime he was unbeatable

If only it was officiated like Roy Jones vs. Johnny Ruiz.. Hatton would have been knocked out.:rofl It is hard to wrestle with your hands tied, to your sides.

Floyd also bashed the hell out of Hatton with his forearms... It was just as dirty as any wrestling that Hatton did, but Floyd is smarter and more discreet with his tactics.:yep
