90% Chance Vitali Fights Again - Likely Against Haye

Nah it doesn't work like that. The fighters only get a %cut of the PPV money from Sky, because they take a chunk for what is essentially marketing the fight.

I have a feeling Sky will be back in the PPV market this year, Froch vs Kessler will need to be PPV, as will Vitali vs Haye.

Also, I believe Haye got £3mill for the Chisora fight.

 

Was Haye vs Chisora on UK PPV and if so do you know what the buys were?

Seeing as either Klitschko sells out a soccer stadium + UK PPV + RTL contract i imagine 30% is a lot more still than 3 mil so it should be enticing for Haye.

 

I did wonder what K2 would come out with next - it's not like them to be quiet for too long while someone bad mouths them in the press.

I hope this is the deal Haye was referring to when he said it's been agreed, but it wouldn't surprise me if it's a different deal and they're just going to the press with this to stitch Haye up. I kind of hope so, because that's an awesome move and definitely something I'd do in the Klits position.

Fury is as popular or MORE popular than David Haye. He certainly more well liked.

I know he's got a tv contract, but he is a huge name, 24 y/o with a HUGE boxing future.

Vitali needs a better legacy fight, and Fury is probably the best legacy enhancing fight he can make, that is unless Haye actually becomes an after boxer once Vitali starched him.:think

Kind of, Haye vs Chisora was on Frank ******'s subscription only boxing channel - so people could subscribe just for that fight. They have very little advertising revenue and it was a bit of a pain to subscribe, so I doubt that fight sold half as much as it would have done had it of had Sky's backing.

Also, as far as I know Haye's purse was agreed in advance regardless of the subscriptions, and because of the rumours of `Frank not being able to pay his fighters he demanded the money be paid in advance :yep.

With Haye pimping himself out to that reality show and being on tv in front of 12mil people every night for 3 weeks I imagine he'll have a good chance of drawing good numbers for this fight.

 

I don't know - all I know is he's been saying for about a year that the terms are agreed. But as we know, what Haye says and what the truth is are not always the same thing!

Boxing fans know who Tyson Fury is, other than that he is not known at all in this country.

On the other hand David Haye is more or less a household name and a bit of a celebrity, he's been on pretty much every TV chat show going and has just taken part in one of the most watch TV programmes of the year and was on TV in front of 12 million people every night for 3 weeks. Again, not saying that is a good thing, but their levels of fame in this country is not comparable.

Again, he is not a huge name at all. Not in the slightest. Unless you can show me some kind of evidence to the contrary I suggest you revise that idea.

Anything under 40% is Vitali ducking.

Also there's a chance this fight can become a stinker again.
Two counter punchers, Vitali can be aggressive though and so can Haye.

Haye got a good mouth for the sport, I just hope when these 2 have their last fight they make a good one that makes the public interested in boxing again.

Like I said though, with all the **** Haye's been talking recently, if I were K2 I'd make a press release saying that all Haye has to do is take a smaller % than he thinks he's agreed to. Then the public look at him saying 'sign the ****ing contract!!!'

If haye thinks he will win it's more of an investment leading to 50% with Wlad.

As a challenger it is a good offer. Depends what Haye thinks though. Could be a sticking point I guess but I hope not.
