I'm surprised to see that many gave Jones zero chance to even make it out of the first few rounds with Foreman, who scored only one knockout in seven big fights, several of which against mediocre opposition. So, can these other great LHW's make it out of the first few rounds and survive a Foreman jab?
They would all outbox him. 90's Foreman was the same guy losing UD's to Tommy Morrison and needing robberies to get past Axel Schulz. Dude only won about half the fights he ever had vs top 10 competition.
I think Foreman has a good chance to KO Tunney, who wore his hands low. All three of these guys need to come indoors to score points, but Gene is the most vulnerable IMO. Moore's mobility doesn't make me nearly as confident as these other gents that he would win, but a lop-sided points decision is possible. That's the problem I have with making picks here Chris. Foreman beats any one of these guys with one punch, and he is boxing for that punch, so the punchers chance has some meaning. Of course, he isn't as skilled or as quick. The only pick I make with any confidence is Charles on points. But even then!
90's Foreman loses on points to Charles and Tunney, they would be moving constantly .. Archie wasnt as fleet footed and would give George more oppurtunities to catch him...now the 70's George catches and Ko's all of them
They had a chance to make it the distance and win on points but Foreman also had a chance to knock all of them out because he was devastating against shorter opponents. I could see Moore-90's Foreman looking like Foreman-Quai.
