Brewster was certainly tough enough to hang with the best of them. However, in some highlights I watched a few months back, he was a little too willing to eat a shot to land one. Very old school Ward/Gattiesque. If he even thinks about doing that against even an old Foreman he may end up with severe brain damage regardless of the outcome. In one fight Brewster's head snapped halfway around by a nasty shot, yet he just gritted his teeth and continued swinging. Foreman may lick his lips after seeing that as if he were at a cookout knowing his opponent is too brave for his own good. However Brewster had fairly quick hands to make up for his slow feet and a higher work rate than 90'e Foreman who was much more patient and waited for openings. Brewster would probably have a hard time with the jab due to his lack of head movement but he can probably beat the old man to the punch fairly consistently if he gets inside.
Old foreman that your mentioning doesn’t beat anyone from the late 90’s, Brewster could hurt that george
George Foreman was the World Heavyweight Champion in the 90s. (LOL) Brewster wasn't a 90s fighter. He lost to Davarryl Williamson in the Olympic Trials in 96. Lost to Cliff Etienne and Charles Shufford in the late 90s. Lamon became a WBO champ in the mid 00s and was very good. Like I said, his reign as underrated. I met him. Great guy, too. But I wouldn't take him over Foreman, who I also met. You see those two guys in a room together, which I did, and you aren't picking Lamon.
Holyfield and Moorer couldn't punch like Lamon Brewster? (LOL) Worst post of the day. Like Cliff Etienne was known for his chin. Ten months after Lamon lost to him, Oquendo dropped Cliff SEVEN TIMES and stopped him. (LOL) I admire Lamon as much anyone. But George Foreman beats Lamon Brewster. Lay off the edibles, friend.
Brewster had an injury against Etienne. You must be firing up rocks if you think Holyfield (PEDs) and Moorer (chinless) could crack like him, no pun intended.
Second Worst post of the day. (LOL) What were his injuries when he couldn't stop (and lost nearly every round) to Charles Shufford the same year?
Not sure about 90s George. But Lamon puts 70s Foreman to sleep by the tenth in a shootout same with Purity and any other big strong guy with a ATG chin and a bit of power and stamina.
I liked Lamon Brewster - Seemed to be a good competitor (at times) even if his form did fluctuate a bit. But Foreman beats him, by UD or a late KO.
