Mr. Magoo,

Your disdain for Tyson has reached astronomical levels to the point where you fail to give credit where credit is due. You are the only person I know to date that claims Fraziers handspeed being equal or greater than Tyson.

If you want to believe that from 1987-1997 that Any version of Foreman would have beaten Tyson, fine it is your opinion but I should add not a very logical one.

Stylistically Tyson's head movement/reflexes, superior handspeed, and power will deter Foreman from pushing foward willy nilly.

There is not a single book maker that would have made George a Favorite

Breaking down a fight and doing an analysis, is not in any way shape or form showing disdain, and in fact I've actually defended Tyson in other arguments, particularly against those who try and use the douglas fight to discredit him.

Believe me, I'm not the only person who's made that observation.

Obviously there are never any guarantees, but to say that its not logical is rather short sited in my opinion. Tyson's style is very well catored to a guy of Foreman's stance and technique. Although Norton and Frazier were not the same as Tyson in many ways, there were still a fair amount of similarities in terms of how they approached there opponents, and were vulnerable to counter attack.

Do you honestly think that Tyson would just walk over Foreman or stand in front of him and not get hit? Talk about illogical. Of all the people Foreman fought, even some of the journeyman in his comeback, few would be more suseptible to getting nailed by George than Mike. The only way that Tyson could penetrate George's defense, is to put himself in harms way. In the process, he would be extremely vulnerable to such punches as the overhand right, uppercut and cross. What's more, George had the tendency to give his foes a bit of a gut check during the clinches. How accustomed was Tyson to taking body shots? In fact, MIke would actually have a better chance against George if he tried working the body himself, but I don't see it happening. He'd be out there head hunting from the opening bell, and this is what I would believe to be his fatal error. If a scared Bruno rocked Tyson, then Jesus, what would Foreman, with every stylistic advantage imaginable do to him?

90's Foreman is way overrated. Impressive for a man his age? No doubt about it.
But fact remains that he struggled with or lost everytime he stepped up with the exception of Moorer and Briggs. Moorer is known for a glass chin and Briggs has always had a non-existant defense which allowed even the slow punching Foreman to land on him. Tyson has neither of those.

Foreman had a better defense in his 90's than in his 70's, but even mediocre figters like Tommy Morrison were still bouncing punches off his face.
Tyson destroyed Stewart in one round, Stewart battered Foreman to one of the most horrible disformed faces i've seen. The same Stewart who has a rather weak chin, by the way. So off the three fighters with weak chins (four if you want to include Briggs), Foreman managed to only stop one and even that took a long time.

Old Foreman is way too slow to land much of significance one Tyson. Look at how easily Holyfield (who is slower or at best as fast as Tyson) was countering and landing flush on Foreman.

Also, based on what does the old Foreman have big punching power?
He was clearly a different fighter than he was in the 70's. As i pointed out before, he faced 4 guys with weak chins and only managed to stop one with big trouble.
