Do you think Bruno would hold Foreman and use those rabbit punches that he loved to throw? Lets assume he did decide to be rough with Foreman how do you think George would deal with it...??? Bruno was a monster specimen of a man, he was very strong, I would be willing to say he would have been if not the strongest one of the strongest men George would have ever faced...

I don’t think it would come to that. Bruno was capable enough to spear him with his jabs on the way in as George trys to walk Bruno down like he tried against Stewart until his face gives way. foreman could take a hell of a beating, maybe he would force frank to fight at a pace that could exhaust him and make an impression with his own heavy hands at some point but I don’t think this is likelier than Bruno marking him up. I just think there is a reason why George chose to avoid big powerhouse heavyweights.

Maybe George accepted the pace he set as an old man, how slow he punched and the fact he would stand in front of frank would not be good for him? I think he had a rule, he would give away speed and youth but not face anyone who matched him for size and power. Bruno was not lightning fast but he did match george for size and power. Frank could step around and box well like he did against bugner, coetzer and truth williams. Old george fought but one way - like a crafty big tank pacing itself against smaller jeeps. Bruno was no jeep. Bruno was a beter boxer than morrison, stewart and axel schulz.

    Disagree.

Bruno is a very strong guy but I never thought he was a guy that used it to his full advantage. He did not turn strength into a big factor in his fights like he was capable of.

The only guy that dealt with Foreman's strength was Ali and he was the best at tying guys up the sport has seen. He negated that factor but he was a guy with superior footwork and balance compared to Bruno. And George was smart and did things like shove 1 shoulder only to twist a guy's torso.

I just don't see the legs of Bruno standing his ground when muscled by George. And that balance of his as the fight wears on and he's a guy that has to reset himself. And Foreman is far smarter how he uses that strength and is hardly 1 dimensional with it.

At any rate, the bigger problem for Bruno isn't the who's shoving who, it's the Foreman uppercuts in close and in that close range when a guy can either hold or punch.

Foreman by KO, Bruno had some wins but was not really a winner especially in this class...he was a Rare KO victim to Terrible Tim Witherspoon and joined company with Gonzales and Eklund

witherpoon stood in front of frank and had to suck it up to beat him in a war. Tim took a beating winning that fight and was a lot younger than a 1990s george foreman.

Tim witherspoon could bang. spoon was robbed of a stopage win against bonecrusher smith only because the ref was far too brave. tim was also the first to KO unbeaten alphonso ratliff and 17-1 james broad. Spoon also smoked quick tillis and david bostice (when both were still good) quicker than anyone else, he was a puncher.

    foreman would never fight witherpoon.
