George 89-91 would be competitive, definitely rate him slightly above Ruddock and Bruno during that period. The George that knocked out Moorer in 94 was too slow to make any inroads on Tyson, clear UD loss.

    Bad style match for Tyson.
Any version of Forman knocks out Tyson.

LOL, so how come he never fought ANYBODY on that level besides Holyfield where he got a career beating swollen up like a Halloween pumpkin?

NO Tucker/Smith/Ruddock/Mercer/Bowe/Lewis/Golata/Bruno/Tua/Byrd etc , nada zilch..............while he faced the Super dangerous crawford Grimsley for the distance who D level Jimmy Thunder waxed in 10 seconds....

One more time, if Ruddock and Bruno were such easy pickings how come he never faced them ?

He never even went neat Mccall or old Holmes.

Comeback Foreman is nothing but smoke and mirrors.

When you will be capable to fight in pro ring when you will be 45 y.o then you might get some sense about George Foreman.
Comeback Foreman was slow but still powerful. This was different Foreman.

I'm really bored with talks about marquee wins vs pre retirement fighters and stuff like this.
For me therefore even Tabiti and Dorticos likes more than A.J for example.:p

1988 Tyson was best his version , still improving beauty and therefore Tyson like Ali are overvalued as HELL cos their PRIME versions and heritage.
Like A.J is overvalued and insanely over hyped with " geriartic " marquee fights. Not better legacy than for Wilder at all.
Tyson's win over out of retirement Homles is laughable joke like Holmes vs Ali in 1980 th.
Not a marquee wins at all.
    Like A.J vs Pulev. LOL.

I don't think a Foreman - Tyson fight in the 90's would have been at all competitive.

Either Tyson's speed and aggression blitzes a bewildered Foreman who can't see the punches coming in time. Fight would probably be stopped with George still on his feet but his face a swollen bloody mess.
Or Foreman from the first bell gets Mike on the backfoot nullifying his power and smothers anything Tyson throws before pushing him off and walking him down for a stoppage in 7 or 8 rounds.

The problem is that Tyson from 1984-1988 was damn mobile and improving with each month Mike's version.
For Tyson from 90 ies might be a lot of problems to hit Tyson from 1988 th properly.

The Foreman of the early comeback would have been lucky to have lost a UD to the Iron Mike of the same time.

This is really tough. I don't think the Foreman of the Moorer fight could have beaten the 90s Mike, and would probably have lost bad to prime Mike.

However, the Foreman of the Cooney fight had a very good chance of stopping the 90s Mike imo. Mike was overall far more tentative after 1990, though he still got caught with a lot of shots. Moving forward and taking a lot of shots (watch the Ruddock fights) means getting pulverized by Foreman. Ruddock did have a left uppercut that rivalled Foreman's. Foreman was a devastating puncher with both hands.

The Mike who fought Ruddock would get stopped by Cooney Foreman in 3 at the outside.

If Ali can knock out Foreman, then surely Tyson can?

You have no clue about this fight and thats your problem.

If you are completely out of breath, any Punch can throw you off the rails
and you know that the temperatures outside in africa are 10 times higher than in the usa or europe?

Foreman by KO/TKO or Tyson by decision.

It reminds me of the Foreman vs. Bert Cooper or Foreman vs. Joe Frazier fights. There’s no way a '90s Tyson would have knocked out an older Foreman. Foreman’s chin was simply too good.
