I think Norris would stop Vargas in the late rounds. He might get rocked a couple times or suffer a KD in the process but I still think Terry wins.
King Norris. Too fast, too sharp, too versatile, too many weapons. Terry was slick quick and his punches might make Vargas sick and send him to the hospital
With Terry's highly unreliable chin and Vargas' strength, there's definitely a possibility Terry could lose. But more likely he beats the **** out of Vargas. And no way he loses a decision either.
Its a tough fight for both of them. I could see this going either way, but more times than not Norris beats him.
Vargas no where on Norris level in the speed department but in his prime he was pretty quick himself his speed is underrated he would be right there. Posters are acting like Fernando doesnt have a chance here,I wouldnt be surprised if Vargas stopped him. Norris wins 6 or 7 out of 10 times though.
Norris probably has about a 65/35 advantage in my mind. Probably reliable, but you never know what's going to happen, especially with Norris' unreliable chin.
Terry wins this fight problem free, in fact I don't rule out an early T/KO victory for Terry also, if he hurts Vargas early he won't let him back in the fight like Trinidad did.
Matters which Norris shows up. If Norris comes focused like he was with Simon Brown in the rematch he wins easily. If he comes in looking for a knockout like the first Brown rematch he loses by knockout. But if both are focused Norris wins a comfortable decision. Norris had great handspeed and skills. Not good foot movement, but he didn't need it.
Have respect. No Terry did not have good foot movement. When it came time to box he would hop up and down on his toes and stand still, something his brother Orlin did also. He would occasionally move back and pivot, but that isn't great foot movement. He had great handspeed and a fast jab and that usually was enough if he was focused. You never saw Terry move around like Leonard did against Hagler or Hearns against Leonard. He pivoted back and forth to get set to use his fast hands on the inside, and usually that was enough. The best thing about Terry was handspeed, not foot movement.
Vargs pre Trinidad has a chance in my opinion. His boxing skills are a bit underated. He can knock Norris out if he connects. I dont see an easy fight at all for either one of them.
