And they are booting other posters off ?
This has to be trolling not even the Primo-istas would seriously make
    this post!
Yeah George ducked big Anders Eklund to concentrate on fighting midgets like,
    Coetzer 6'4"
    Briggs 6'4"
    Shulz 6'3"
    Jameson 6'4"
    Jaco 6'6"
    Savarese 6'5"
    Ellis 6'3"
    Cooney 6'6"

Can't argue with that, the fact s speak for themselves. I see no reason why foreman wouldn't fight Carnera. He went in against cooney who despite his faults could rip your head off, Alex stewart who had a cracking punch and morrison, who once again despite the faults could nail you to the canvas. I don't see big George really seeing anything to put him off signing to meet primo, not when he faced bangers like he did.

If Carnera held the title George would be knocking people over trying to get to him. He saw a fantastic opportunity in Moorer and he'd see the same here.

C00ney was a calculated risk. George knew Clancy who was training CoNy, George also knew he had an edge in ring activity over Cooney.. Foreman weighed it up and took that fight. It really paid off, because like you say that WAS a risky fight on paper. George knew what he was doing.

But he would not take Eklund.

Maybe if Primo was the champ George would take it. If Primo was a contender and another guy was rated just as highly who was smaller, less active, less experienced I think George would prefer that guy.

But what we actually saw was the opposite.

He steered clear of bigger fighters, and fighters who could use the jab at range.

I don't think that he would have fougth Carnera unless a title was on the line.

Maybe if Primo was champ? Maybe? Maybe the sun is hot and water wet too.

George may also see him as a "calculated risk" like you labelled Cooney. A tough fight on paper but one he would be extremely confident of winning.

Well Mac did a list above -

    Coetzer 6'4"
    Briggs 6'4"
    Shulz 6'3"
    Jameson 6'4"
    Jaco 6'6"
    Savarese 6'5"
    Ellis 6'3"
    Cooney 6'6"

He may or may not have fought Carnera for no title. My previous post is definitely not out of the question per George seeing a great opportunity to speed up a title shot vs someone he might be extremely confident against.

If there is no title at stake there are easier fights for Bald George to take than Primo carnera. Like the guys bald George did fight when there wasn't a title at stake.

How would you see it if old foreman was the champ and primo the challenger? Say for example George had beaten moorer and Carnera had a shot at him? Do you feel primo would be confident in taking George on?

Foreman was very candid about who he did and did not want to fight, which makes our life easier.

He made it very clear that he did not want to fight Larry Holmes, and actually said "I couldn’t do anything with that jab in my face all night".

He made it clear that he did not want to fight Riddick Bowe, and I think that the same is true of Lennox Lewis.

He refused to fight Tony Tucker, and I think that we start to see a pattern forming here.

He was prepared to fight bigger fighters, but he tried to steer clear of the genuinely elite ones, and the ones who controlled range with the jab well.

It is easy to imagine him looking at Primo Carnera, and thinking that there were easier fights for him.
