interesting that the classic forum favors Holyfield in prime vs prime and at the same time places him lower in the historical HW ranking even though Holyfield fought and won with better boxers, he has higher quality victories and his defeats, at least until he was forty, were much less embarrassing

and back to the topic, I think Holyfield would always have a big problem with Lewis, as would Vitali Klitschko, because Lennox was a difficult rival in terms of style for both of them. for some reason. Evander didn't do well with taller outfighters and would always have a problem with Klitschko, Lewis, Akinwande, Terrell, Holmes, Tucker, Fury. Always! I think in this case we would have an equal fight and the best Holy would win by a close decision.. in 1999 he was two rounds short of winning, but in '92 he had much faster legs and was in for some big wars. I recall that 10 months after the rematch, a close fight with LL Evander was unable to beat John Ruiz by decision, which suited him much better than Lewis in terms of style. This was definitely not Evander at his best. (Bean 1998)

More aggresive, prime Holyfield from 1992, trading with Lewis like he did with old Foreman, could have gotten knocked out cold. But I would still take Lennox by UD.
