Eubank beat Close handily in the first fight and didn't look that bad doing it imo, beside his obligatory 2-3 round coast in the middle of the fight. 2nd fight was the bad performance of the two.
ANyway I'd pick it as follows: McClellan - lean towards Eubank being more complete boxer but if Eubank boxes on the outside though McClellan has the better jab and right hand. Toney - the most intriguing, Toney by far the better technician but Eubank is more athletic and a little faster. Based on the Watson 1 fight I'd certainly pick Toney though, by very clear but competitive decision Nunn - from his comments Eubank clearly didn't fancy it, by '94 Nunn was a faded force but very tall quick athletic, Eubank would have to force the fight pretty much. I'm not sure of a result in '94, prime for prime Nunn wins
What happens if G-man lands his right hand on Eubank though? And Eubank can be hit. Toney wins. Faded unfocused post Toney-Nunn - probably some disputed SD decision which goes to Eubank as the fight of course would take place in England.
Well he would land his right hand, but Eubank's chin is the iron, still McClellan would be the best puncher he'd faced by a distance I didn't really account for pre-filled in scorecards for these match ups, how silly of me Eubank therefore wins 3 SDs
Don't forget body punching, PP. G-Man threw lethal left hook to the body. Eubank was hurt by Benn's body punches. And Benn himself admitted he nearly passed out from McClellan's body punches and was more hurt from them than from G-man's famous right hand.
Eubank would lose to all three. His best maybe against Nunn but I would still pick Nunn if he came in shape.
I really was expecting this video [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OW3zWZ12ZZY"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OW3zWZ12ZZY[/ame] Does anyone know why the fights weren't made?
