Jones won every 168lb title defence by stoppage.

    Byrd - Previously stopped once

    Pazienza - Previously stopped once

    Thornton - Never stopped prior

    Lucas - Never stopped prior

    Brannon - Never stopped prior

I'm not saying these guys were killers and none of them are Joe Calzaghe but they were all stopped. I think fans tend to remember Jones' run at 175lbs and ignore his speed and power at super middleweight.

I would pick Jones by late stoppage or WIDE unanimous decision. Calzaghe never fought anything like a peak Roy Jones in his life and the version he does have on his record was completely and utterly shot to ****!

Calzaghe proved he was a better boxer, you're absurd if you think Calzaghe wouldn't have just adapted and smashed RJJ.

His best win was against Toney, Toney was beaten up by midget Griffin twice, got gifts and fluked a win over Nunn, he is of Frochs level.

NO-ONE smothered RJJ, the ones who would and had chins, RJJ purposefully avoided (Benn,Eubank, Gman, Calzaghe) he fought shitty counter attackers like a green Hop and an over-rated Toney.

We saw what a vastly superior boxer Joe is when he took apart RJJ when Joe was shot to pieces.

Mosley? are you kidding, that bum has beat who? ODLH? a gift decision against another over-rated fighter, ODLH had heart, which made up for his lack of ability, but all Mosley beat were left overs of other fighters, Vargas who was bitched up by ODLH and Trinnidad, then lost his last 3 fights, so he was crap and ruined, he was decimated by shot Wright and Forrest, then to top things off, his only other notable win is against C level Mayorga who was shot to hell and fat.:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

    Great career Mosley, FRAUD

I feel sad that some individuals would actually bet their hard-earned cash against Roy if it was ever possible to make this fight happen. Tunnel vision is a *****.

Jones was too quick in 1994 for Calzaghe.

Calzaghe had good handspeed, but Jones had great handspeed and great footspeed.

Also, Calzaghe's flurrying style may have made his handspeed look better than it actually was. If he was utilizing proper punching technique or throwing punches with mean intentions or unleashing proper, varied combinations instead of little blinding flurries, his hands may not have looked so rapid.

In the speed stakes, Jones is the clear winner, and this factor would definitely play into this fight. How do you land flurries on someone you can't close the gap on?

An old shot Calzaghe toyed with a near prime Jones, prime Calzaghe does the same for six rounds but has mercy in the seventh and brutaly koes jones ala glen Johnson.

    Totally on the same page.

Calzaghe moved his hands in flurries of mini hooks and uppercuts that a.) travel inches and b.) Frequently land with the inside of the glove.

Watch Leonard finish Andy Price. That's hand speed.

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wj-PWAtJViE[/ame]

Watch Jones drop Reggie Johnson at 0:31. That's handspeed.

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRt8LHSB7wM&feature=related[/ame]

Notice the difference between perfectly delivered shots and that slap **** Calzaghe does. In terms of technique there is no comparison. Anyone who doesn't see that - doesn't know what they're watching.

Jones was faster (hands and feet), hit harder, had better reflexes and managed to knock Joe on his ass at almost 40 years of age.

Shutout UD or TKO in 11/12 if he pushes for it.
