According to Holyman there's a 95% chance he will challenge Sultan Ibragimov for the WBO belt. I think Holy may have gotten his Ibragimovs mixed up. If he does get this fight I suspect it will be has last fight. Ibragimov is fast, awkward, hits hard and appears to have a solid jaw. http://www.ajc.com/blogs/content/shared-blogs/ajc/sportscolumns/entries/2007/06/16/only_belt_not_t.html
You can jsut barely see the vaguest possibility of Holyfield coming up with some crazy Holyfieldesque upset over Sultan (we are talking veryu long shot here) because Sultan appears to be the kind of fighter that you can hurt, and who might come in undertrained. Chag is always in good form, and has an iron chin. I think Holy has got his best bet cornered.
It would be great if this fight happens. Ibragimov UD12 WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO....all the same ****. They mean nothing. Fans decide who's the real Champ.
another undeserving fighter gets a shot at a champion if this comes off. he hasn't beaten anyone near the top ten since his comeback.
Not sure how Holy will fair against Ibragimov, but I think Holy will give a good account of himself, and may even decision Ibrag.
If Holy is gonna win a title, this is probably his only chance against a guy he has a shot at. I don't think he can win at this age, but of all the title holders, Sultan is the most beatable by Holy.
