Going to be one of Tyson's toughest, Bowe so strong and game for a fight, and great at it, can he push Tyson back and keep his good jab pumping? He might. But i will still pick Tyson to notch it up a gear and be able to work his great body and head work when Bowe is co-operating, if he decides to box i dont think it ever works for long against prime Tyson.

Would like to see what otheres think here, im not sold on either man winning this.

Bowe on points or late stoppage. The trilogy with Holyfield took too much out of Bowe, the real Bowe was gone by the Golota fights in 1996, but if Bowe had fought Tyson the night of the Holyfield rubber instead of Evander, I'd take that Bowe to beat a post-prison Tyson, who was exposed as soon as he fought a heavyweight of real quality.

Do you think prime for prime might be different? Just asking?

I like Bowe in this one because of his ability to mix it up on the inside and because of the fact that Tyson would be 5 or 6 years past what I'd consider his prime.

prime for prime. Still a tough fight but I'd favor Tyson slightly.

Not all big Heavyweights got blown away by Tyson:

    Mitch Green
    Bonecrusher Smith
    Tony Tucker
    Buster Douglas
James Tillis gave him a tough fight too (although not a "Super" Heavy)

Tyson could get frustrated and tired if a guy didn't crumble in the first 5 or 6 rounds. Bowe was bigger and better than all these guys.

p.s. I realize some of the guys listed were mainly in survival mode, but I still think a prime Bowe had the ability to hang with Tyson and actually fight him. I just think the size/height difference, in addition to his ability, would be a factor in keeping Bowe in the fight.

In '95 I think I'd take Bowe. Tyson was much more hittable during this period and Bowe had a good all-round game. Of course, Riddick's defence was poor and he'd have to absorb some bombs and might have to climb off the canvas to win.

Bowe's chin was superb. Yes, I too believe he might have had to get up from a knockdown, but he would have done so. Bowe by decision or late stoppage.

IMO he doesn't stop him, but beats bowe via a BIG UD.

Its not the quality of what bowe has in 1996 but the mental toughness of what tyson didnt have anymore ,plus past his prime would do tyson in.

If he doesn't stop him I doubt he'd beat him by wide UD. I think a peak Bowe vs a peak Tyson (say the Bowe of the first Holyfield fight vs the Tyson of the Biggs fight) is a very competitive bout with Bowe's superior inside work combating Tyson's power in close to a stand-off. Tyson's power and explosiveness from mid-range would be his best assets, as Bowe was hittable from that range and was far from adverse to exchanges. I honestly think that would be a very difficult fight for Tyson though, one of his toughest.
