    I guess that could work.

Let's face it. In terms of popularity, Lemieux was pretty much a nobody with a belt until the GGG fight.

Golovkin doesn't deserve 25%. I originally was going to write 85:15 to Canelo.

Why does Canelo not want it to be about the belt? Oh, so he can try and enforce some pathetic 'catchweight'.

This is a mandatory fight and if they can't come to an agreement it goes to purse bid and GGG is getting 45% of the money as WBC interim champion and since this is an mandatory fight Oscar and Canelo can't enforce their ridiculous catchweight. So no wonder that coward Caenlo is trying to say it isn't about the belt :rofl

It's all about the belts until a bigger, more risky, opponent appears; then it's "he doesn't make enough money".

When will people understand that that part of negotiations isnt flexible. Why would ggg take up 90/10 like some people say when the mandatory challenger can just get 70/30 or 75/25 if it goes to purse bids.

Only purse bid in this situation is 55-45 since GGG is WBC interim champion. Oscar and Canelo are painted into a corner.

90/10 doesn't work because a mandatory challenger gets at least 25% from as far as I understand. GGG should take 70/30 split to Canelo if that's what ends up being offered. Canelo handlers know he will lose this fight, so I think they may try hard to negotiate a non tenable deal for GGG.

Why would anyone agree to 80/20 if the WBC rules guarantee him 55/45?

    That sounds fair

3G is going to have to decide between making a career high payday that he can retire on or a shiny plastic fake pleather belt

Not a hard choice to make
