The issue is not that BJS quit, its that he was so disrespectful to a fighter and then went on to do the exact same thing.

It's karmic justice at its best.

It's professional boxing, not "getting in a fight." There's no extra shame in quitting for whatever reason. Some on here need to get socked a few hundred times to give them perspective. Macho Men; love 'em! Nothing wrong from Billy Joe to Victor the Tree.

This is true and makes this case a bit different. While I still don't blame him or think it's anything "wrong" to have done, he without question is a hypocrite on the biggest stage.

I agree but so what? So Billy Joe isn't Muhammad Ali... wow what a Stone Cold Stunner. Different people, different times.

BJS was schooling Clenelo for 7 rounds straight then Clenelo pulled out a lucky uppercut from the gods

Lol I also named George Foreman and Joe Frazier as well. I guess you forgot them right? The point is world class legit fighters don't quit because of eye injuries like that. Which is probably the reason steroid cheat Canelo fought him because he know Saunders isn't a world class elite guy.

By saying I failed to mention Frazier and Foreman, what are you trying to say? Obviously Saunders isn't George Foreman or Joe Frazier, either. He isn't as tough as Paulie Malignaggi based on what we've seen.

As long as everyone defending Saunders thinks Abraham and Malignaggi are near Gods for fighting with broken jaws. And you better defend Ortiz with the same passion for retiring between rounds with his shattered jaw.

One from most damaging boxers in 70 ies was Frazier.
Diffrerence between Foreman and Ali in 70 ies:
Formean had 2 fights vs Frazier and they both together had lasted only 7 rounds.
Ali had 3 fights vs Frazier and they together had lasted 41 rounds in total vs Frazier in the ring.

It is damn big difference between 7 rounds and 41 rounds vs Frazier from 70ies, this boxer really was no joke.
    Ken Norton from 70 ies:
vs Ali: 3 fights, in total 39 rounds.
    vs Foreman : 2 rounds.

Also when Foreman had fought in comeback, yeah, he had ate power punches but not that much.
These boxers were nor Frazier, nor Norton nor Shavers.

Frazier was very small for modern HW, with 0 problems in modern times had made CW limit.
He was very devastating if he managed to get comfortable for him angles and distance, had damn good gas tank and workrate even for 15 rounds fights and yeah, he didn't hit so hard as modern era boxers for sure, especially for HW.
Still, if take in account his weight and size then yeah, power was amazing for such weight and size even for modern criteria.

Tommy Morrison punched just as hard if not harder than Shavers. Tommy Morrison landed over 200 punches against Foreman. Holyfield's power was good enough to knock out Mike Tyson and Holyfield landed 300 punches against Foreman.

Joe Frazier weighed 205 to 210 which means he weighed just as Deontay Wilder. Is Wilder a cruiser weight as well? Also Frazier could of been a fat butt like current fighters and weighed 230 plus. Fighter back then were in better shape than they are now. Also Deontay Wilder is considered to be the hardest punching current heavy weight even though his natural weight is among the lightest.

Also what does weight have do with anything I typed? I typed I can't imagine Frazier, Foreman, or Ali quitting because of this type of injury. You felt the need to bring up how big Joe Frazier was in comparison to fat modern heavyweights.
