Doesn't matter. I didn't factor on Wilder looking like a drunk coming out of the bar at 3am either in his rematch with Fury but still gave Fury his due and offered no excuses. We all make wrong predictions just admit you got it wrong and move on.

Lol, well if it makes you feel better maybe you should offer BJS a shoulder massage and pay for his orbital bone surgery. Show him you appreciate his effort even though he couldn't get the victory.

You are wrong. Fighting with a broken eye socket is very dangerous.. Theres a high risk the eyeball can be cut or get entrapped into the fragments. Most of fighters who suffer this kind of injury quit because know the consequences.

the issue is someone had a more serious injury than he did and he mocked them. saying he'd fight on if he took damage to both eyes.
so, yes he should have stopped the fight his eye was compromised and it was a situation where the fight was maybe even at best for him.

it just should be "see saunders your comments were wrong" and he probably will have to retract his statments.
and if you are going to play oblvious it was a comment he made about joe joyce.

Have you ever factored that in to a prediction?

Saunders did fine but he lost fair and square

    Move on

It was not a freak eye injury, BJS left himself open to the hard punch that caused the injury, the severity of the injury is it could be said was unlucky, but whether you get a cut or fracture due to a punch the boxer has put self in the position to get that injury.

I was hoping BJS would win, he did not, and as long as that loss was not due to illicit methodology by Canelo, then i give Canelo the plaudits due.

BJS quitting is not the issue, his belittling another fighter for quitting as he did is, accept it, and soon it will be old news and someone else will be the talk of the day.

BJS played a big mouth arrogant game, and he won a prize, Karma.

Those guys wouldnt get those injuries though, as they actually get sun light in america thus having sufficient vit d levels for strong orbital bones. It is an english thing as those ****ers get no sunlight whatsover . Brook, dubois, billy joe all cant be wrong, what a gloomy place to live, no thanks. Lol

There was no point in the fight continuing , Saunders couldn't bust a grape and he had zero chance at winning

There's a reason few pro boxers are criticizing BJS for calling it a day in that position. Far, far from a quit job. Saunders is game and seems like the type to fight on with some gruesome injuries. This is not an injury you can fight on with, simple as that. Most of the "blood and guts" warriors people adulate around here simply had bad cuts in a war. They don't have floating pieces of bone roaming around their caved in skull.

If you surveyed 100 pro fighters as to which injury they'd rather have: BJS caved in face or Badou Jack's horrific cut, 100/100 would choose Jack's cut. Yet Jack is a "blood and guts warrior" cut from the Gatti cloth and BJS is a quitter. Didn't the doctor stop it anyway?

Who gives a **** what Billy has said in the past. None of that is relevant to the situation he was in. It was either correct to stop the fight or it wasn't. In this case it was clearly correct to stop the fight.
