Exactly. I don't understand why some people n here dislike Jermain, he is pure class. (& he won that fight:yep)
Great Performance By Taylor, But Came Up Short. He Did Good Staying Off Of The Ropes. His Speed Was Perfect. He Was Keeping His Hands Up And Away From His Waiste , But Kelly Out Worked & Out Pointed Him.
Taylor fought a much better and smarter fight this time around. He could have won if he had better stamina and workrate. Taylor has nothing to be ashamed of.
great fight, i really could have seen it go either way. but just from the way the boxing game works, JT coming back from a loss and challenging needed to do more to decisively win. I think that 117-111 score was cracked out, but i can see how 115-113 was pretty damn accurate, there were several "toss up" rounds. I seemed to favor taylor, cause despite being out worked, and KP being more active and pushing him back, i saw taylor landing the CLEARLY more precise, effective and accurate punched going into the 11th round(pav EASILY won the last two rounds)
ay man i was drunk as hell when i said that but i really am disappointed at the cards. taylor fought his ass off and i think his ring generalship gave him most of the rounds. it was the fact that the decision was unanimous is what set me off though.
Jt did a great job. I fully expected him to come in hard and fast, gunnin' for an early KO, and predicted Pavlik in 5. However, Taylor showed that he can still learn, change, and adjust. He is now the first fighter to take Pavlik the distance. (Pav's other decision wins came in fights that were 8 rounds or less.) He is also the first fighter with the balls to rematch Pavlik. The fact that it went the distance may be due in part to the 7th round injury to Pav's right hand. After that he conserved the right for a big money shot that, to Taylor's credit, never came. However, this is boxing and ya don't get special consideration for injuries! I think both fighters were still under the effects of the first fight. Pavlik said he felt stiff and uncomfortable from the opening bell for several rounds. That may have been a psychological thing based on round 2 of the first fight. Taylor was not aggressive enough or busy enough to win. I had it 116-112, but would not argue with 115-113. The score of 117-111 was a bit to wide. Both men are much better technicians than I realized. Boo
You people that believe JT Won MUST HAVE BEEN PRETTY DAMN DRUNK- Pavlik outlanded on him all night long.... The judges called it right:deal
