Headlining at Rudolf Weber-Arena in Oberhausen live on DAZN on January tenth. WBC interim world heavyweight title at stake, Kabayel's first defense. Knyba isn't currently rated top 15 by the WBC. Somebody's zero has gotta go. Both are solid heavyweight hitters with KO percentages in the sixties - indicating their power is neither lights-out nor to be taken lightly. The Big Puma is 4 years older and 4 inches shorter, with seven inches less reach. He also has faced significantly better opposition thus far than has The Polish Hussar.
I can't profess to know much about Knyba, but I've watched some of his highlights on youtube in advance of this fight. If he had the ability to consistently keep Kabayel on the cusp of his reach then maybe the fight would be interesting, but from what I've seen Kabayel won't have much issue getting into range to land power shots to the body and head. If Knyba turns out to be surprisingly durable then maybe he can go the distance, if not he gets stopped; either way, I don't see how Knyba wins.
Knyba hasn’t proved anything to suggest he beats Kabayel here. This is a poor fight for Kabayel after taking basically a year off after a good win.
It is and it isn't. Yes, you would want to have seen him more active and in with better opposition to not squander his momentum in the division. On the other hand, the fact is he was out for that long so letting him shake the rust and build confidence up again is good, and all the better if it is headlining a card on a light Saturday without much boxing, meaning lots of eyeballs will see him wreck a big undefeated dude.
Itauma and Torrez are both cherry pickers, who've beaten no one of real note, why should they be rewarded for that? Knyba realistically is about as proven as they are. He merely doesn't have the hype that they do behind him.
No . Ppv . Just watched the press conference and the translator woman of knyba should be fired . He said " agit will try to put me into a defensive position but i,m prepared for it She translated "agit will be defensive but i,m prepared for it"
Something people got to remember here is Knyba was a replacement for Hyssa. He was the other name on the table not such and such. And IMO Knyba is a much more interesting matchup.
Whereas I am not predicting the upset, I think Knyba will come to fight and do better than expected. He's a slow starter and throws pitty-pat punches early, so Kabayel might jump on him and get him out of there quick. However, Knyba is a physically huge boxer-puncher, and I just have a feeling that he is going to seize the moment. If I am wrong, I am wrong. Just a feeling. I have been a fan of Kabayel since the Chisora fight, and he is vastly more experienced, so I am not going to bet against him, though.
