Kabayel Is too smart for Zhang, although, I could see Zhang catching Kab and going for the stoppage. I cant wait for that card.
Zhang has decent power and skills but a four round gas tank. Unless he can knock Kabayel out, he is going to lose.
HW boxing by definition involves the most powerful punching boxers and the largest probability of boxers getting hurt. If a HW gets caught with a big shot there is a good chance they will stay hurt and get hurt again. Dubois getting hurt 3 times in a single round is not a sign of a chinny fighter, but if he'd gone done in several fights against known feather fisted opponents then that would be a different story. There are granite chinned HWs like Oliver McCall who won't even get stunned, and there are the KOs waiting to happen like Fraudley, Wlad and David Price; DDD is nothing like these guys. He has been hit with solid shots and stays on his feet. PS I have to thank Turki Al Sheik for making some great fights that could not have happened without his involvement, and I have to commend the honest scoring.
Really surprised people are underestimating Zhang here. I remember Joyce being unstoppable until Zhang came along...
Every time I've doubted Kabayel he's proven me wrong, so I'm going with him by points or stoppage here. Probably points as I think he'll be cagey to avoid one of Zhang's big counters, but if he makes a concerted attack to Zhang's body he could get him out of there.
Kabayel can wether Zhang in five rounds and he will be fatigued by than and the way he fights he moves around alot and jab and throw good body shoots this will be a Tko by the 7 or 8 round by Kabayel.
Joyce is upright very hittable. You can't walk into Zhang and try to attrition stoppage him. Kabayel hits probably about hard as Joyce but he can slick box. He's smart and tough. It's the height dimension of Zhang and closing on him that will be hard for Kabayel but it's very do-able. Especially late fight. Parker beat Zhang so if Kabayel comes of age he can beat Zhang. Kabayel is tough as nails but he doesn't rely on it which is important. If he relied on his toughness Zhang would KO him. Key to beating Zhang, the static pudding is making him work hard without taking risks for 6 rounds.
Zhang is over 40, and, looked pretty awful against Parker and Wilder. I think Kabayel fights cautiously the first 4-6 rounds, then outwork Zhang for a decision win.
Kabayel was getting hit a lot more by Makhmudov then I remembered when watching it live. That might be a problem against Zhang.
I think Kabayel is just a bit too hittable to get past Zhang. But then maybe I just love Chinese Power Big Bang Zhang and don't wanna see him lose.
I'd like to see Zhang win too, I'm just quite worried about the long-run in regards to Zhang's gas tank, if Kabayel can survive the early rounds.
