Maybe it is not so inaccurate! It is very hard to rate across all divisions, & somewhat subjective.
One thing to consider & specify is how heavily you rate success vs. head to head.
Also whether historical significance should factor in.
How much you consider peak performance or take off credit or not much for hanging on way too long.

Not to pick apart your choices (& I never have made an all weights list), but why no Klitchko?
I do subtract for home cooking rules/holding, but given such a long reign of Wlad, & Vitali rarely losing rounds, it is hard to justify having neither anywhere there no?
At least considering where you rate other HWs, I would have to put both above say Jersey Joe, especially if head to head is important.

as a matter of fact, a previous list i made on reddit (my first draft) had vitali on it, but a lot of people were telling me he shouldn't be on there. i replaced like 4 people in this new one i made, in my old one tiger, sanchez, canelo and calzaghe were not included.

For suggestions - I'd look at Bob Fitzsimmons resume closer, because he certainly deserves to be ranked inside top 50. I also think that you highly underrated Harry Greb here, he's solid GOAT candidate.

    Overall, it's nice list! :)

thank you very much! fitzsimmons was definitely someone i looked at, i'll definitely see what i can do there. with greb, my first list (it's on reddit) ogt a lot of flack for how high i ranked older boxers, so i was being a little cautious there- maybe too cautious in greb's case. i'll likely bump him up a few spots.

At first glance I’d personally rate Archie Moore and Ezzard Charles a bit higher but none of this stuff is written in stone. You have a lot of the best men in your top fifty :)

those were definitely two that had me tugging my hair out a bit lol. my previous list was a little biased towards older boxers, so i was trying to be cautious there, the same thing seems to have happened with harry greb. i'll definitely see what i can do.

If it's true, that you're only 14 - then you have compiled an excellent list!

"Classic" is far and away the best "history" forum on the net - so if studying the oldtimers has your interest, you should have a great time here.

The list is certainly better than I would have done at 14.

I think I'd remove Jersey Joe Walcott and consider adding his namesake, Barbados Joe Walcott. I personally feel that Michael Spinks is a lock for the top 50; he's someone you might want to research and watch; and since I feel that it's premature to rate active fighters I feel that Canelo could be removed until such time as his career is complete.

But, as far as initial drafts go, it's not too bad at all.

thank you very much. personally i always rated jersey joe more than his namesake because barbados lost to so many other fighters of his time, plus the hand thing. this is the first time anyone so far has mentioned spinks, so i'll look into that. i agree with you on the active fighters thing but i was getting flack for bias towards older boxers on the first list i made (it's on reddit) so i threw canelo in there

i follow boxing (although not really modern boxing that much, i prefer the oldies), baseball, football, basketball, soccer, wwe. i'm pretty hardcore on all of them, i'm just a sports buff in general imo. thanks for the compliment!
