A 205-208 lbs Holyfield too small for this heavyweight generation?

At 205 to 208 pounds, Holyfield is too much of a man for today’s heavyweights.

Holyfield wasn't even 205lbs in his own era, but he doesn't have the fight IQ Usyk does so it'd depend entirely on who his opponent is. I'd say he beats everyone except for Usyk and Fury, 50/50 Vs Joshua. Who knows if he'll decide to stand and trade with him lol.

yes, but we have actual footage of Holyfield giving Lennox Lewis hell. That makes it hard to say he’d be too small when we have footage of him taking it to the best SHW ever. (Note I didn’t say best HW ever, come on now, but for a modern superheavy size? Fair to say Lewis has been the best the sport has seen yet). Those Lewis fights, and the Bowe fights, will stop these size arguments with respect to Holyfield specifically I’d think.

I’d say Holyfield had a quite high fight IQ. What he didn’t have was Usyk’s calmness, so he’d get angry or hot blooded and ignore what he damn well knew he should be doing.

Holyfield beat a prime Bowe and run a prime Lewis very close whilst past his prime.

H2H Bowe & Lewis would be amongst the top 5 Super Heavyweights of all time.

So if Holyfield can have success vs them why would the Super Heavyweights now be too big when none of the Super Heavyweights now are as good as Bowe & Lewis ?

At his best, Holyfield beats everybody including Usyk.

Apart from Usyk, there's absolutely no one around who'd have much chance of beating him in his prime. I'd make Usyk a slight underdog still.
And Usyk is only in the 217-227 range himself.

    Big, very basic, chinny.

The Michael Grant of his generation.

Good sparring partner material for Holy.
