I think Darni admits that he's relatively new to boxing. Most of his opinions are likely lifted from ******* posts on here.

If Darni wanted to be smart, he would answer with: Barrera I, Ledwaba, Sasakul, and Solis were the most prime opponents of Pac's career in which he won; others he didn't win would be JMM I, Singsurat, Agapito, and Bradley.

Those are 8 prime opponents, I would say that is a damn good amount for a fighter to have faced.

This fight is a great great fight and what we should be expected out of boxing. At the same time Canelo has fought 11 more pro fights then Trout has so throwing around his age doesn't mean that much to me.

Trout isn't some long heralded champ that ruled JMW for yrs only to be tested by a 22 yr old Alavarez. They are both 2 young up and comming fighters looking to prove themselves. YYou act as if Canelo is defying the odds or something.

This fight is more comparable to Victor Ortiz at 22 fighting Maidana.

Floyd just beat a belt holder (Cotto) at 154. Why not go straight for Trout? Best option legacy / respect - wise.

But that wouldn't be like Floyd to do. Floyd takes the path of least resistance.

If Trout beats Canelo and Mayweather fights him isn't that fight an even better one since Trout proved he could beat Cotto and Canelo?

Weight classes exist in boxing. Some people surprisingly don't know or acknowledge this.

Guerrero is better and more proven than Trout. A W over him at WW is better than a W over Trout at JMW, not just by Mayweather because than the "he's smaller than Trout so that's better" comes into play. I'm talking about a WW beating Guerrero or a JMW beating Trout, the guy who beat Guerrero will have picked up the better win.

Shhhhh! No logic here on ESB, keep that to yourself.

    But absolutely, 100% not debatable.

I respect Austin Trout but nobody wants to see him and Mayweather fight.

Mayweather should be fighting Pacquiao, Marquez, Martinez, or Alvarez. RG is far less proven then those fighters and less valuable. People confuse the boxing politics in their head to the point where the best matchups become limiting, ridiculous affairs.

I'll see a Mayweather Guerrero fight because I like to see Mayweather, but it's by no means his best option.

If he keeps fighting nonsense opponents then I'll eventually grow disinterested, but he's too much of a name to ignore.

So you're telling me Floyd has fought in ONE weight class his entire career?

Let me try and understand your logic here. Fighting Cotto at his most comfortable weight is not dangerous? Fighting Oscar at 154 was not a risk? (a bit past his prime back then but still had a lot left in the tank)

He may not always fight the guys YOU want him to fight but Floyd does take risks. It's too early to fight Canelo or Trout anyway. Between the two of them there's only one good win and that's over a small LMW in Cotto.
