If Foreman connected with anything big then Haye loses. But, that said, Haye is too clever a fighter nowadays to get dragged into a silly war. He'd simply move around the ring against what was by then a very slow fighter and win a lopsided decision.

if big george can catch a prime evander holyfield and earn his respect whilst taking his punches - i think at some point in 36 minutes he would catch Haye and then that will be that

Haye could well follow the Morrison gameplan, but at the same time, is Haye any better than Morrison?

I say Big George sparks him at some point. Different levels of fighter. Haye would barely have been top ten in most eras.

Haye doesn't have the legs to pull off a 12 round stick and move like Morrison did.

Foreman was lighter on his feet than SNV and obviously had more power.

David was exhausted after that fight and hardly threw any punches. Foreman will land, and when he does.....

Like Flea says, shove Haye in the division in the 70's, 80's and 90's and he may make the top 10. Or may not, as he'd have to beat some good contenders to get there.

Obviously Tyson, Lewis, Holyfield and Bowe all waste him, then there's Mercer, McCall, Bruno, Golota, Briggs, Morrison, Moorer.

Does he beat any of those?

 

No and he is very lucky to be around during an era where the scarcity of talent in the division is probably unprecedented.

That said, as Buncey said on here, Haye shouldn't judged by history but by today. Today he is the 3rd best Heavyweight in the World and definitly, quite sadly, one of the best 10 in the last decade.

 

I agree i think he would tire and would get nailed at some point even Foremans jab could cause Haye some problems

Foreman would struggle to catch the running Haye, but if he did, Haye would be sleeping, and sleeping good.

 

I think that's the key thing... Lets not forget that Moorer was well ahead on two of the scorecards against Foreman... If Haye didn't tire then I believe that is inconcievable that he couldn't simply win by fighting the same fight he did against Valuev albeit with a slight change to compensate for the lack of height by comparrison.

 

No, possibly he could outmanouver McCall and win a decision and if he gets through the first few rounds with Briggs (big puncher though) and he tires....the rest would starch him.

I mean, Moorer would absolutely blitz him, and he is by no means a 'great' Heavy. That might be entertaining while it last though.

These guys would not allow him to fight at his pace, and although he has fast hands Haye is not a gigantic puncher nor a good finisher. In fact, his style is pretty perilous against these guys.

Mercer for me is massively underrated; I actually wouldn't want to see what he would do to Haye.

 

Foremans jab is indeed a very potent weapon. He was wiley, knew all sorts of veteran tricks, and most importantly, Haye can hit him with everything he's got and he ain't shifting him.
