both on the opposite ends of the world

    samart payakaroon-

a kick boxing champion in thailand that had won titles in 4 weight classes transfers to traditional boxing and beats two very good fighter in juan meza and lupe pintor to become the wbc junior featherweight champion of the world.

    troy dorsey-

a kick boxing champion in american rules who among countless achievements became the first karate fighter to win two world titles in two different events in one night. troy then transfers to boxing and holds draws over to very good fighters himself in tom johnson and jorge paez as well as establishing a punch stat record and becoming the ibf featherweight champion of the world.

these two where fighting at around 125lbs each (troy was a little bigger) at roughly the same time and i believe that this fight would have been a interest to not just the boxing community but to those who like martial arts and acknowledge that they where also world champions in their own respective disciplines.

i think this would have been a pretty even match with payakaroon have more ability and troy being bigger and very stubborn.

Yes and Troy had very tender skin if I recall correctly. Good fighter though. Also Wasn't Saman Sorjaturong also a kickboxer in Thailand? He was the one who knocked out Humberto"Chicita" Gonzalez & put him into an early retirement.

There used to be a video on youtube of a Vitali Klitchko vs. James Warring kickboxing fight. Both became beltholders in traditional boxing. It's not there anymore though.
