Will be in Oct/Nobember and that they will both have tune ups on a March 13th card. I think the promoters are planning it like this purposely to hype it up even more. I think the drug testing is a media stunt for sure and its either to hype up the March 13th fight or use it as an excuse to miss a MArch 13th date to hype it longer for October. Think about it the longer people talk about Pacquaio and Mayweather fighting the more it will sell I hope I'm wrong, I hate waiting for big fights  And what if Foreman as average as he is turns out to be too big for Pac and Pac loses? That would put a dampener on the scale of the fight
would pac be able to train and fight if he gains office, i figured if he gets elected hes done with boxing, i thought that was his plan all along
I don't think it would be a good strategy to be honest. Now was the perfect time for the fight, everyone was anticipating it after Pac's whooping of Cotto. Now this whole bull**** just stinks.
there's no way pac would allow his name to be dragged through the mud, to hype the fight. but as afar as the fight being put back to later in the year, i wouldn't be suprised.
He has a contract until then but that doesnt mean he will be fighting. Its only if he fights he is with top rank until 2013. If he wins office I see him reiring soon and even if he doesnt he should fight in March and see if he can get mayweather for later and maybe one more fight and call it a day
The situation going on is all the promoting they need, this fight would sell itself if it came down to it. If the fight is at MGM, there is no question the gate will do the max numbers. As far as pay per view, they can easily promote within the two months...people want the fight, and they want it now, the mainstream media won't care about this fight if it happens later. As much as the mainstream media sucks, boxing NEEDS that exposure right now.
i think with tune ups and waiting till november, they are only killing the momentum this fight is having... There has been a BIG buzz around this fight since pacquiao cotto, even mainstream american media has picked it up... But i would doubt if that buzz will still be around in the second half of ´10... i doubt it very much.. it will still be a BIG fight ofcourse... But i don´t see it beating Oscar Floyds numbers if they wait till then
it will hard to predict what Pac will do if the fight with Floyd doesn't happen in March...especially if he wins the congressional seat he is running for. it is possible that he does retire from boxing. let's just hope that the fight happens on March 13th.
I'd be well happy if it happened in Oct/Nov. I might actually get to go see it then. Can't make it in March.
